Cluny Court has weekend vibes all over it: think chill cafes, independent boutiques and home decor stores.
For days when we tire of being in the thick of it all (the shopping, the buzzy bars and cool restos), we look for an escape. And that for us is leafy Bukit Timah, where underrated boutiques and cafes sit quietly beside each other. Cluny Court is a prime example – it’s the perfect brunch spot for coffee and freshly baked bread with plenty of indie boutiques and home decor stores. Bonus: it’s located just next to Botanic Gardens. That’s your Sunday morning, sorted.
Cluny Court guide: Where to eat and drink
1. Tiong Bahru Bakery
We waited with bated breath for this local brand to set up shop in this enclave; lo and behold, Tiong Bahru Bakery has finally landed in Cluny Court! Pop over after your leisure stroll at Botanic Gardens and feast on its iconic bakes like kouign amann and rosemary focaccia. Grab a cuppa and enjoy the day soaking in the vibes while you people-watch.
Tiong Bahru Bakery, #01-05A/B, Cluny Court, 501 Bukit Timah Road, Singapore 259760
2. Gelobuna
Coffee and ice cream on a balmy day in Singapore? Count us in! We love the splash of red – it makes this cafe stand out from the rest of the pack. Gelobuna offers artisanal gelato in various flavours, from classics like chocolate and vanilla to interesting creations like non-alcohol sangria and honey osmanthus. Complement your cold treat with specialty coffee courtesy of Coffee Plus.
Gelobuna, #01-03B, Cluny Court, 501 Bukit Timah Road, Singapore 259760
3. Prairie by Craftsmen
The first thing that’ll take your breath away is how vibey the cafe looks. No, we’re not referring to the interior. You gotta dine alfresco in the courtyard – it feels like we’ve gotten out of Singapore. Of course, we can’t forget the food. Diners are treated to many options, from hearty brunch faves and pasta to specialty drinks and matcha lattes. That’s it, we’re claiming this as our new hangout now.
Prairie by Craftsmen, #01-05C, Cluny Court, 501 Bukit Timah Road, Singapore 259760
4. Relish x Roketto
This Cluny Court mainstay was ahead of its time. Back in 2006, good burgers were a rarity in Singapore but Relish stepped in to shake up the scene. Twelve years later, the restaurant still serves classics like the blue cheese and Williams pear burger, and the bacon and double cheese, along with other brunch staples and pasta. Bonus points for the breezy space which gives us major vacay vibes.
Relish x Roketto, #02-01, Cluny Court, 501 Bukit Timah Road, Singapore 259760
5. Simply Bread
If you want nothing more than a quiet morning over freshly baked bread, Simply Bread is quite simply it. Grab a spot by one of its large windows and dig in. Fuel up with hearty sandwiches (roast beef and grilled cheese are classics), or nibble on sticky buns with coffee on the side. Don’t leave without ordering a large loaf. Baked in-house, the selection of ciabatta, sourdough and rye walnut makes for several meals.
Simply Bread, #02-07, Cluny Court, 501 Bukit Timah Road, Singapore 259760
6. Da Paolo Gastronomia
When the Botanic Gardens MRT station finally opened its doors, we had one reason to rejoice: Da Paolo Gastronomia. The alfresco area of the cafe is our favourite spot to while away Sunday mornings over mains from the deli or straight off the menu. For a spot of decadence, try the signature tiramisu or Nutella cake. Don’t be too guilty if you leave feeling absolutely stuffed. Botanic Gardens is a mere three-minute walk away for an afternoon stroll.
Da Paolo Gastronomia, #01-01, Cluny Court, 501 Bukit Timah Road, Singapore 259760
7. Plain Vanilla
The cupcake craze may have come and gone, but Plain Vanilla is here to stay. Follow your nose to get to the freshly baked cakes. Must-tries include milk chocolate chip cupcake, red velvet or salted caramel – all to be downed with piping hot coffee or tea.

If you’ve been on a bender lately, a juice detox may be just what you need. EGA Juice Clinic takes the ‘clinic’ in its name seriously, offering cleanse packages that purge your body of toxins accumulated from stress, the environment or diet. Prefer a one-off cold-pressed juice? The selection includes something for relaxation, digestion, weight loss and blood cleansing.

16. Iggy’s Crafts
Located right outside Relish, Iggy’s Crafts has been a mainstay for as long as we can remember. The absence of an enclosed retail space gives off art market vibes. Brighten up your homes with decorative plates, cushions, trays, tablecloths and art prints in coastal, tropical fruit, palm tree and flamingo designs. We love going through the trunk filled with sale items.
Iggy’s Crafts, #02-39, Cluny Court, 501 Bukit Timah Road, Singapore 259760
17. Kew Organics
This local aesthetic brand rose to fame thanks to its sugar peel. You might have known it as Sugar K Organic Peel Bar, but Kew Organics has now extended its services to include express organic facials, hair removal, LED light therapy and more. Products used are wholly organic, with ingredients free of pesticides, artificial fertilisers and food additives. The popular peel in question takes a mere 20 minutes – perfect for those quick lunchtime pop-ins. It uses a sugar cane-derived formula which combines a potent blend of citrus fruit acids to gently exfoliate the skin.
