One Holland Village mall guide: Best food
1. Ginkyo by Kinki
A beautiful modern Japanese bistro, Ginkyo is the sister to Kinki Restaurant + Bar at Customs House. The 60-seater invites you into its warm space that reflects Japanese matsuri elements in its design. Take a seat by the bar, get cosy in window-side booths, or head to the alfresco area to lounge the evening away with a cocktail.
Ginkyo’s menu of small plates and communal mains is perfect for sharing with an intimate date or a group gathering. Start with a round of Ginkyo crispies topped with spicy tuna belly or uni, caviar, and ikura before you move on to the kimchi onigiri arancini. Don’t miss out on the sushi and sashimi, as well as mains like the okonomi-rosti (a potato twist on the traditional okonomiyaki), curry miso lamb, and wagyu bowl. Pair it all with cocktails, sakes, wines, and draught beers for a great night out.

2. Fireplace by Bedrock
Get fired up about this concept that’s all about cooking with an open wood fire. The heat greets you as you walk past the open kitchen to your table, spying on seafood and hunks of meat getting the grilled treatment along the way. With a breezy outdoor terrace and an inviting indoor space that’s welcoming for friends and family, Fireplace is a casual, pet-friendly dining destination by the Bedrock brand.
Start with appetisers like the bone marrow toast before digging into mains such as lamb ribs, wood-fired crispy pork belly, porterhouse steak, and more. Each main comes with a set of signature sauces for extra oomph, and you can order a selection of sides like truffle mac n’ cheese to complement your meal.

3. Surrey Hills Grocer
Our favourite Australian-inspired food hangout has a gorgeous new space in One Holland Village, and we’re so here for it. Every outlet is unique in its concept, design and menu, and we love the Holland V one as it’s the first to have an open charcoal grill kitchen and an in-house dog bakery. You’ll find more than 100 Aussie brands in the lineup, most of which are exclusive to Surrey Hills Grocer, ranging from pet treats to fresh produce to beauty items. P.S. you can’t miss the custom-built ice cream truck serving scoops of Tasmanian ice cream and gelato!

4. Warabimochi Kamakura
Warabimochi fans, you know the drill. Expect long lines at this Japanese warabimochi store, where you’ll have to queue to get your hands on the sweet treat. It’s the only concept in Singapore to serve warabimochi dessert-drink combinations (so far). Get your chewy fix while sipping on beverages like strawberry yogurt, hojicha, and coffee milk. Of course, the star of the show is the warabimochi that’s dusted in kinako from Japan and finished with a house-made kuromitsu syrup made with 100% pure brown sugar from Okinawa.
