What is the SG Culture Pass?

Announced as part of Singapore’s Budget 2025, the SG Culture Pass gives all Singapore citizens aged 18 and above (PRs and long-term pass holders aren’t eligible) a one-time credit of S$100 to spend on local arts, culture, and heritage experiences.
How to claim the $100: The credit kicks in from 1 September 2025 with an official text notification, and you’ve got until 31 December 2028 to use it. No forms, no queues, and plenty of time to squeeze in some culture between your Netflix marathons. Just don’t fall for any phishing scams – nobody will ask for your Singpass or bank details.

Book tickets via authorised platforms like Catch and Sistic. Permitted experiences include concerts, theatre, art exhibitions, heritage tours, creative workshops, and other in-person programmes featuring local content (at least 50% of the creative team must be Singaporean or PR).
Not valid for: Online-only events, food-focused experiences, or merch.
Valid if: The event is in-person, has local creative involvement, and isn’t just about food.
So, no kopi at Esplanade. But a food tasting woven into a heritage trail? That’s fair game.
Tips to stretch your credit
- Look out for phrases like “eligible for SG Culture Pass” or “redeem with credits”. If in doubt, double-check with the organiser.
- Don’t splurge on one event. Try booking a few smaller events to taste different slices of the local arts scene.
- Track event releases by signing up for email alerts from Catch, National Arts Council, and the ticketing platforms.
- Some programmes may sell out fast, so plan a rough culture calendar now instead of rushing it in 2028.
- Support indie or lesser-known shows – your support makes a bigger impact.
