If you love your cats, coffee and cake, curl up at these cat cafes in Singapore for a purr-fect day.
We’re animal-crazy in Singapore, there’s no doubt about that. We’ve got dog-friendly cafes, pet hotels and spacious dog runs around the island. Cat cafes are another place to celebrate our love for pets, especially for all the cat ladies (and gents) out there. Control your squealing! Let’s check out these cat cafes in Singapore.
Fun cat cafes in Singapore
1. Neko No Niwa

This is the one that started it all. Back in 2013, this pioneer sparked off a slew of copycat (pun intended) cat cafes in Singapore. The cosy shophouse space houses a clowder of adorable kitties – all lovingly rescued by owners Sue Lynn and Sam. We’re especially fond of brother-sister pair Kai Kai and Jia Jia, the mischievous tabbies with a penchant for stealing food and nibbling fingers when you’re not looking. Order up coffee, cake and smoothies, and proceed to de-stress by watching some kitty antics.

2. The Cat Cafe
The Cat Cafe lets cat lovers indulge in kitty cuteness across its outlets. The Bugis space houses 15 felines while the Rail Mall branch has 14. It warms our heart that all of the cats are ex-strays or adopted. Keep a lookout for cuties like Oreo (who enjoys gentle head scratches and tickles on the chin), Patches (who loves to pose for the ‘gram) and the siamese mixed cat Missy (who’s a fan of headbutts).

3. Catopia

Initially a cat boarding house, Catopia later pivoted to a cafe space filled with — wait for it — adorable cats. Taking over a two-storey shophouse in Little India, the place is a haven for 22 cats. Fall in love with its broad range of breeds, from Bengal to British Shorthair to Persian. As you’re giving some sugar (read: scratches and pats) to the adorable kitties, don’t forget to treat yourself to an array of desserts.

4. Playground Ragdolls

Tucked away in the serene neighbourhood of Joo Chiat, Playground Ragdoll isn’t much of a cat cafe but a ragdoll cattery. Known to be dogs of the cat world, the space hosts weekly play sessions where you can interact with a clowder of fluffy ragdolls. It’s a good way to know more about this breed and see if you’d love to have one at home. Do note you have to book an appointment prior to your visit.

5. Meomi Cat Cafe
The Kampong Glam area is where you’ll find the small but inviting Meomi Cat Cafe. It houses seven resident in-house cats. And these beauties are quite the lookers (think British Shorthair and Maine Coon) and with personalities to boot! Thanks to its comfy seating, kitty toys and human treats like cake and coffee on the menu, you’ll easily spend hours at this place.
