This year, ECA: Merry Market takes over New Bahru’s newly restored School Hall where you’ll find a joyful curation of creators, makers and tastemakers – a time to gather, celebrate and toast to a year well spent. The three-day fair will feature a fresh lineup of over 20 pop-ups and collaborators, including five making their Singapore debut, alongside an immersive sensorial experience hidden above the former School Hall, kicking off the precinct’s festive season.
Some highlights include:
– Five emerging regional labels presenting their Singapore pop-up debuts: Kodangs (Thailand), The O.B.A. (Thailand), Steady System (Thailand), Objects of Bentala (Indonesia) and Ana Tomy (Malaysia).
– Cross-brand collaborations including a co-created ceramic scent holder by Objects of Bentala (Indonesia) × Frm.ytd (Singapore), and an exclusive grilled cheese sourdough sandwich with a spicy kick by Cheeselads × Addictives (Singapore).
– Exclusive launches and debuts, including Brass Lion Distillery’s highly limited barrel aged gin (Singapore’s first whisky edition) and Living Room’s first-ever pop-up.
– The Mezzanine Sessions: Grain/Form — a ticketed, 70-minute sensory journey hidden above the former School Hall, bringing together art, food and scent through six tactile and edible encounters with Asian artists, designers and makers, including Still, Wastd, Gong Hua of Who Eats Art, Odem and The O.B.A.
Beyond the event, New Bahru’s festive season continues with a wider line-up of pop-ups and resident brand activations, including Bao Fast Foods (BFF), bringing Taiwanese fried chicken and Asian convenience-store culture to Singapore for the first time.
