The name says it all. Confectionary queen Janice Wong is the mind behind 2am:dessertbar, an inventive dessert spot that steers away from the usual suspects. Expect creations like the Strawberry Caprese: strawberry ice cream with lavender marshmallows, lychee pearls, benedictine jelly and a trio of fresh, pickled and consommé strawberries. Located in an unassuming shophouse in Ang Mo Kio, Desert Dessert is a Covid-19 baby that’s become a hit, thanks to its variety of croffles and bingsu options. Of course, there’s gelato too. The menu offers a fine mix – think sea salt, coconut, mango passion fruit, salted caramel, wild berries and cookies and cream.

15. No Horse Run

We won’t stand for the Yishun slander because it’s actually not that bad. Gallop to this dessert spot for artisanal gelato and waffles.
