Hard to believe, but it's true: this swanky-looking cafe is none other than a fast food eatery. (Hint: it's the home of the Big Mac)
Yup, the pictures don’t lie: this fancy joint belongs to a fast food brand we all know and love.
A McDonald’s outlet in Hong Kong has undergone a major makeover with a sleek new interior design approach utilised, making it look like an upscale, contemporary café. Called “McDonald’s Next”, this fresh new look is courtesy of design firm, Landini Associates. McDonald’s iconic golden arches remain the same, but gone is the company’s recognisable red and yellow colour scheme. In its place, decorating the walls are simple but Mc-Iconic artworks like cheeseburgers and ice cream cones.
But that’s not all. Apart from aesthetic upgrades, this McDonald’s has also changed the way patrons eat. With touch screen kiosks, you can experience a new way of ordering and customising your meal, while the McCafe section proudly displays freshly baked goods and even a salad bar. Need/want to Instagram your fancy Big Mac? The eatery boasts free WiFi and wireless charging pods on all tables. Lovin’ it? Absolutely!
