What inspired you to start Maygi Beauty?
My sister, Maygi, founded Maygi Beauty, Hong Kong’s first postpartum “Total Body Binding and Sculpting” specialty business, in 2002. Maygi Beauty has since become the go-to postpartum body shaping team for celebrities and socialites, helping nearly 10,000 women focused on postpartum care to quickly and completely reshape their bodies.
I joined in 2003 as the Treatment Director. Together, we focused on “rebirth”, combining research and development of the top-notch “360-degree body shaping technique” to create a holistic treatment that completely reshapes the body while maximising repair.
For over 20 years, Maygi Beauty has continuously improved its unique technology, using high-quality organic herbs from our family’s “Zeno Farm”. Traditional abdominal binding is a postpartum shaping therapy that uses a binding bandage to tie the abdomen. It focuses on applying pressure and shaping the abdomen, neglecting details such as the client’s skeletal expansion, imbalances, height differences, muscle stability, rectus abdominis strength, and even differences in abdominal muscle strength.

What advice do you have for new mothers looking to regain their confidence post-pregnancy?
Prenatal: Regular rest time, balanced diet, nutritional supplements, toning the body and developing consistent exercise habits, especially for core muscle groups that help weight-bearing and balance during pregnancy.
Postpartum: Gentle exercise and avoid lifting heavy objects, squatting and any movement that has the potential to cause secondary injury, such as getting up quickly from your side.
What is one product every mum should use?
