Numerology expert Corie Chu reveals secrets and tips for you to connect deeper with yourself and those around you
Wondering about numerology and energy healing? Have you ever caught yourself seeing the clock at the same time (i.e. 2:22, 4:44 and 11:11)? In short, numerology is the study of the energy behind numbers, and it’s a great diagnostic tool for self-discovery in the world of alternative healing. It gives us a guideline on how universal energy is flowing by the day, by the month, by the year and by our lifetime. Professionals look at your birth date while having a numerology reading as one of the alternative therapies often used to examine your relationship with yourself and others in business or for special occasions. Once they understand the big picture and you learn how to move in the flow of universal force, instead of against it, you’ll find that life becomes a little smoother. And here are five tips from our guide to numerology for February 2019, from Reiki Master and expert numerologist Corie Chu.
Numerology for February, 2019: What’s the theme?
One of the main themes in numerology for February 2019, is to share more 1-1 time with another person, but in a larger group setting.
This may seem counterintuitive but there’s something about being able to connect deeper with someone with the company of others. In fact, you’re probably already casually doing this without realising it. Maybe partnering up brings out a little of the “us against the world” energy (only there’s no need to be against the world at all, especially if you’re with a group of friends). Remember those moments when you and your BFF shared an inside joke and just burst out laughing, but no one has any idea what you’re going on about? That’s the kind of thing I’m talking about here. So grab your favorite person and #bealonetogether.
5 tips to be in alignment with this month’s forecast
Give out red envelopes in pairs, regardless of marital status
There are so many things to do at Chinese New Year, but one thing to remember is to give out red envelopes in pairs. This is pretty typical if you’re a married couple as the gesture is coming from two people. But for others who are kind enough to thank their colleagues, hair stylists and security guards, try sharing your gratitude towards them by doubling the red packets this year. Sure, Chinese people might think it’s a little strange, but no one will say no to an extra red envelope as it symbolises luck and good fortune.

Dine in a pair, but with friends
With Valentine’s Day following the week of Chinese New Year, go to dinner as a couple with a larger group of friends or with other couples. Keep things fun and light-hearted. Have a creative date night such as crafts and dinner, going to picnic spots or couples cooking classes. Don’t have a date yet? No worries, tell two of your close friends to each bring a friend to dinner, and you too, so you can enjoy a fun dinner for six.

Call your wellness buddy and check out an event together
This is for wellness junkies who are looking into numerology for February 2019. After having run multiple wellness workshops myself, I’ve personally found that after one pair shares, the others are much more inspired to share just as much if not more openly. Perhaps knowing that everyone is paired up and doing the same inner work is encouraging. It serves as an invitation for deeper conversations.

Push & Pull
You’ll likely be experiencing a lot more push and pull energies according to numerology in February. Weighing pros and cons for too long can hurt your productivity, so make sure you exercise some grounding practices such as meditation, a walk in nature or simply sitting under a tree before or after work or during your lunch break.

Make a date with your own “inner child”
We get so wrapped up in adulting that we often neglect what the child within us wants. Remember those things you wish you got to do or say as a kid? Do they still resonate? Block out an hour, a few or a whole day where you get to wander, be creative and explore without any judgement. Give yourself a free pass to be that seven-year-old you again, and with that in mind, how would you like to spend your day?
