Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park is definitely one of the most convenient picnic spots in Hong Kong. It’s just a ten to fifteen walk from Sheung Wan MTR station and you will see a lot of joggers taking a sunbath as well. Enjoy the proximity to the water or see if you can find shapes in the clouds.

4. Jordan Valley Park
Jordan Valley Park is one of the most popular picnic spots in Hong Kong for families and big groups of friends. The neat and spacious central lawn makes you feel connected to everyone around you. Nestled right under the eye of the ICC, West Kowloon Art Park is a spacious greenland that’s perfect for you to lay out your picnic mats, and bring your pet(s) along (if you have any) for a fun day under the sun. There are pet-friendly cafes by the harbourside to please your palate and your pet’s. You can also rent bikes to cycle around the park.

7. Tai Po Waterfront Park
Enriched by flora all around, and the sea at the far end, this park is perfect for leisure, plus it’s educational. There’s an exhibition hall that informs visitors about the behaviours of different insects, and you can get up close with some of them at the park itself (just butterflies, don’t worry). For avid kite-flyers, there’s a windy zone for you to cut through the sky.
