Punggol Coast Mall is the northeast’s hottest new spot for food, shopping, and fun! Check out the must-visit cafes, stores, and more.
For the longest time, Punggol only had Waterway Point as its de facto shopping mall for all your retail and dining needs. Well, a new contender is throwing its hat into the ring. Have you been to Punggol Coast Mall? Located above the MRT station, this new kid on the block presents more shopping, food, and fun options to the northeast.
I dropped by on a weeknight to check out the complex, and even though many places haven’t opened (they’ll progressively open by this month), I have a feeling it’ll be a buzzy spot once everything is in operation. In the meantime, here’s a guide to navigating this vibrant new space.
Wanna know which are my top spots to hit up?
- If you wanna hang at a vibey cafe: White Cloud Cafe
- Pet-friendly restaurant: Nayana
- For all your essentials: Muji
Now, onto the guide!
A feast for the senses

Every shopping centre in Singapore offers diverse culinary experiences, and you can expect the same at Punggol Coast Mall. Quick bites, leisurely meals, fuss-free food options – you name it, you’ll find something for it here. Looking for the next cool new cafe to hang out with your friends? You can consider White Cloud Cafe (#02-126), which was filled with young patrons and families when I explored the mall. Shake off the Monday blues by enjoying its one-for-one drinks promo! Or elevate your weekday afternoons with its special tea time offers, available between 3pm and 5pm.
If you want something to nourish your soul, head to Paradise Hotpot (#02-120) for nine soups that have simmered for hours. Go for the clear chicken base if you want comforting flavours; order the spicy Szechuan or tom yum for a little kick-to-your-tongue, spit-on-your-neck fantastic. And the best part is, you don’t have to fight over the broth choice with your dining party. Thank goodness!
Those looking for authentic Korean comfort food can head to Nayana (#02-115). The restaurant isn’t open yet, but expect the same menu here. Hello, Korean fried chicken, army stews, bulgogis, and ramyeons! If you’re familiar with the brand, you’ll be glad to know this outlet will be pet-friendly too.
Parched but not completely famished? Punggol Coast Mall has your back. Quench your thirst with aromatic teas from Yi Fang Taiwan Fruit Tea (#02-132) or Playmade’s (#02-127) bubble teas. If you need something stronger, sip on fresh brews from Luckin Coffee (#02-128). I also spotted Kopifellas nearby (#02-133), but the hoarding is still up. Mark my words: this will be the go-to spot for caffeine aficionados once it’s opened.
Of course, those aren’t the only food options. Keep an eye out for the upcoming Punggol Coast Hawker Centre, which will feature up to 40 stalls of local favourites. No official opening date has been announced, but you’ll be the first to know!
Enjoy some retail therapy

Besides eating, visitors can shop for everyday essentials and special treats at Punggol Coast Mall. Stop by Daiso (#02-112/113/114) for household items, quirky finds, and everything you didn’t know you needed. Get ready to fill your basket with all sorts of treasures! I always inadvertently end up buying something whenever I enter the store.
Everyone’s favourite minimalist aesthetic, Muji (#01-53/54/55), has also set up shop within the mall. Discover the brand’s comfortable apparel, stationery, snacks, home organisation essentials, and travel items. It’s the perfect place to declutter your home (and life). This outlet also houses the ever-popular Cafe&Meal Muji, where you can tuck into tasty, healthy dishes.
What else can you get here? Plenty! Check out Skechers (#01-147) to get your new pair of kicks for your next running club sesh, grab winter apparel for your next freezing destination at Coldwear (#01-79/80), or get your eyecare sorted at Lenskart (#01-137) and Owndays (#01-59). I can’t wait for Value Store to open its doors and welcome customers. Discounts galore!
I spotted a few service businesses that had already opened while exploring the new mall. Those in dire need of a haircut can make their way to Clippers Barber (#01-69/70) or Myeongdong Hair Studio (#01-67). If it’s hair removal or skin rejuvenation services you’re after, Smoovee Skin (#01-68) is just one door down from the barbershop and hairdresser.
It’s more than just another neighbourhood mall

Punggol Coast Mall isn’t just another cookie-cutter shopping centre – this new lifestyle space is also designed to be a community hub. It features an open-air plaza, perfect for community events and where people can gather and relax. At the mo, there’s a cool, immersive exhibit by Wonderlabs, which runs from now till 20 April. Everyone’s welcome to participate in the live performances, workshops, and learning experiences.
The second floor is linked to the nearby Singapore Institute of Technology campus. It’s a sight to behold, with gorgeous open spaces and greenery, cool architecture, and young, vibrant energy from the hordes of students. I was awestruck by the entire place! My little eye spied Insta-worthy red link bridges, though they’re not in service yet. There’s a tiered water feature nearby where many macaque monkeys have been spotted.
Overall, this new kid on the block is reminiscent of Star Vista. It offers a refreshing mix of indoor and outdoor areas, making it a breezy and inviting place to explore. Whether you’re here for a quick coffee run, a leisurely shopping trip, or simply to soak in the vibrant atmosphere, Punggol Coast Mall is definitely worth checking out.
How to get there: Take the North East Line to Punggol Coast MRT station. You can access the mall via both exits. Exit 1 leads to the indoor area, while Exit 2 will take you to the open-air plaza.
