Taught by a team of global chefs, in just eight classes, participants will be equipped with the skills and know-how to be a Private Chef. From hygiene standards and professional knife-handling techniques, to the understanding of complex spice blends, through to the foundation of soups, stocks and sauces, participants can expect to be professionally trained in these culinary essentials.
The course is tailored for those who wish to pursue a personal chef business and offer private chef services, a trend that emerged in the wake of the pandemic as home-based chefs have been shaking up the dining scene with bespoke, intimate private home dining experiences. The course will also come in handy for hosts who love to throw dinner parties at home for friends or family as they will gain the confidence to be cross-trained in cooking different Asian cuisines in the comfort of their home.
Private Chef with Buddy
The classes will be conducted fully in-person at the Academy over eight consecutive Sundays and participants may choose to attend the course with a buddy to enjoy special rates. The programme starts off with the fundamentals and techniques, equipping participants with the essential kitchen skills, before moving on to let participants be acquainted with the wide array of Asian flavours. The Private Chef programme is perfect for those who wish to have the freedom in designing their own menu and coming up with new recipes to impress their guests.
