Here’s our ultimate guide to cafes and bakeries that stock up crookies in Singapore.
Cafes around the world prove once again that they are the leaders of viral food trends. We’ve seen the croissant combined with many other baked delights in our days. The cruffin, croffle, cronut, and croon all got their it-girl moment. Now, a new contender joins the ranks. Created by a small bakery in Paris, we welcome the crookie (croissant cookie) into the world of desserts. To help you out, we’ve hunted down all the cafes to visit if you want to get your hands on a crookie in Singapore.
Where to find crookies in Singapore
1. Patisserie Cle
We love Patisserie Cle for its delicate tarts, which use all kinds of fresh produce and flavours to create some of the best. Well-versed in the world of French pastries, you already know the croissants here are out of this world. So why not kick it up a notch with a crunchy cookie topping? You’ll even find the cookie dough in the centre of the flaky croissant, oozing with delicious chocolatey goodness.
Patisserie Cle, order online or at multiple locations including Dairy Farm Mall and River Valley
2. Urban Folks
@urbanfolks.sg Get yours now only at Urban Folks! 📍38 Margaret Drive #cookies #croissant #crookie #bake #cafe #sg #sgtiktok #singapore #cafecontent #xyzbca #fyp
This Aussie-inspired cafe has gone under the radar for a while, and we’re here to hype it up! Owner Vernetta Fong spent time studying in Melbourne, which inspired her to bring her favourite jaffles (stuffed toast) to Singapore. Now, alongside a menu of sammies and acai bowls, the cafe has hopped on the crookie train. Croissants are baked twice, stuffed with cookie dough, and topped with wonderfully flakey salt.
Urban Folks, #01-07, Margaret Market, 38 Margaret Drive, Singapore 141038
3. Baker & Cook
This artisan bakery and food store continues to use time-honoured practices and processes when creating its delicate bakes. Dotted with chunky chocolate bits and hazelnuts, and filled with a gooey chocolate centre, it promises a symphony of textures. This bakery has already announced this sweet treat will only be available for a limited time. So you’d best snap them up quickly before they disappear!

First of all: how cute is the name of this bakery? We can’t get over it. Owner Elaine pursued her passion for baking after leaving her corporate job and the rest is history. After graduating from the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu’s boulangerie course, she took the leap of faith to open her bakery. A lot of intense R&D has gone into the croissant creation process. Cover it in copious amounts of cookie dough and you’ll get Lunar Rabbit’s epic crookie monster.
Lunar Rabbit Boulangerie, order online or at multiple locations including Hamilton Road and Tanjong Katong Road
6. Swish Rolls
Swish Rolls has perfected the art of creating roll cakes stuffed with cream in flavours like hojicha, Earl Grey, and hazelnut. But it hasn’t stopped the bakery from getting creative with its other bakes. Besides the croons that went viral in 2022, Swish Rolls has also created croissant egg tarts and even a hot cross croissant for Easter. Its variation on the crookie is stuffed with matcha and pistachio cookie dough, mochi, topped with more cookie dough, chopped pistachios, and matcha powder.

7. La Levain
We can always trust La Levain to be on top of pastry trends. Its croissants come in many varieties, including smashed, onigiri-shaped, in cruffin form, and even with a cheesecake filling. So we weren’t surprised it’s one of the first few to launch a crookie in Singapore. The classic French butter croissant is given a rich and chocolatey addition with cookie dough and cacao berry chocolate chips. You’ll need to have a cup of coffee with it to wash it all down.

8. Nasty Bakehouse

9. Sweedy Patisserie
Sweedy Patisserie’s claim to fame is its signature “fatcarons”. These variations on the classic macaron come with an impressive amount of filling with flavours like peanut butter and jelly, Earl Grey, and durian. We love the cookie layer on top of the croissant – you already know it’s buttery and indulgent just by looking at it.

This brand’s crookie is topped with huge chocolate chips for that extra-rich bite. If you’re feeling up for it, order the famed hot chocolate too. It comes with a huge ring of torched marshmallow fluff.

11. Breadtalk
Surprise, surprise! This heritage brand has joined in on the hype with its rendition of the crookie in Singapore. Instead of the typical croissant shape, Breadtalk goes with a rectangular one with a cookie nestled perfectly in the centre of it. It’s much easier to eat, in our opinion. Pick from the chocolate chip cookie, red velvet, and double chocolate flavours. Or better yet, try them all!
