It doesn't get any better than the classic martini, and we've found some of the best in Singapore.
Sex and the City, James Bond, Ocean’s 8… The humble martini has become quite the motif in several films. You can consider it to be one of the most popular cocktails around the world that’s incredibly easy to shake (or stir) up on your own. All you need is two parts gin or vodka to one part vermouth, olives and lemon peel (it’s optional but we’d include it to be classy). If you don’t have all the ingredients at home, fret not. These bars offer some of the best martinis in Singapore.
Where to find the best martini in Singapore
1. Atlas
The drinking experience is like no other when you visit Atlas. Step in and you’ll be transported to the 20s with the stunning art deco architecture. Because gin and champagne were the drink of choice back then, you can trust Atlas to have the most impressive physical collection of these libations. The same goes for its selection of martinis! The Atlas Martini is a classic, made with Atlas’s very own gin. Otherwise, try variations like the orange blossom martini or the Atlas espresso martini.
Atlas, Parkview Square, 600 North Bridge Road, Singapore 188778
2. Last Word
Named after the classic cocktail, the Last Word, this bar aims to rekindle the romance of classic cocktails paired with simple Japanese dishes. Take a seat along the eight-metre-long wooden bar and get a front row seat to the cocktail shaking action. This martini is made with Bombay Premier Cru gin (for an extra zesty touch) and house blended dry vermouth. If you’re feeling fancy, go for the Pornstar Martini which comes with a serving of R de Ruinart Brut.

3. Hevel
It’s no secret that we love Hevel for its affordable menu and warm service. Dishes are served in a communal style, allowing you to share plates carefully crafted by chef Stefan Liau. You could opt for a wine pairing to go along with dinner, but we highly recommend going for the cocktail pairing instead. It gives you the opportunity to try the Hevel Martini made with Never Never gin. We’re big fans.

This bar’s fanciest Gibson is made with premium London Dry gin, truffled baby peach, pickled pearl onion, and smoked quail egg. Psst: if you drop by during happy hour, you can enjoy mini Gibsons at just $10 a glass!
