But few things can beat the comfort and nostalgia from a home-cooked dish made with heart – especially if it’s a family recipe passed through generations, or one that instantly brings you down memory lane. The first Thermomix TasteMaster Cook-Off in Singapore seeks to find that dish that tells your unique story.
An inaugural competition hosted by Thermomix, this cook-off is all about celebrating a love for food and the precious stories behind it. Whip up a dish you love, share the story behind it, and you’ll be in the running for Singapore’s first Thermomix TasteMaster – with attractive prizes like a Thermomix TM7 and $2,000 up for grabs. Cook, snap and share
Thermomix home chefs, now is the time to shine. Think of a dish that means the most to you. It doesn’t have to be the most elaborate or of restaurant-quality, but simply a recipe that you hold close to your heart.
Need some inspiration? Be it a go-to dish that you make for your dad’s birthday every year, the first meal you’ve made in your new home, or a dessert you’ve handcrafted from scratch, they’re all welcome.
All you have to do is whip up your dish, and snap a photo or video of it. Next, upload the photo or video to Instagram, and share the story behind the dish and what makes it uniquely yours. Don’t forget to tag @thermomixsingaporeofficial and add the hashtag #ThermomixTasteMastersSG. Once all that is done, you’ll stand a chance to be shortlisted for the finals.
Don’t use Instagram? No fret, submissions are also accepted via the Thermomix website. You’d want to get cooking soon ‘cos the first 100 submissions will bring home an exclusive Thermomix tote bag!
Submission opens from now till 26 July 2026, 11.59pm, with finalists shortlisted from 27 to 31 July 2026. The shortlisted finalists for the live cook-off will be contacted by the Thermomix team.
The final showdown
Earned a spot in the live cook-off finale? Congrats, you’re one step closer to becoming Singapore’s first Thermomix TasteMaster!
On 15 August 2026, the live Thermomix TasteMaster Cook-Off will take place at Paya Lebar Quarter. The shortlisted finalists will go head-to-head before a panel of celebrity judges, as you create and present your dish using the Thermomix TM7.
Not to worry if you’ve never used the Thermomix TM7. The team will arrange for a demonstration and onboarding session before the finals, so you’ll be up to speed and ready to whip up your dish.
Here’s a peek at the judging line-up: the general manager for Vorwerk Singapore and Malaysia, Christine Wong; award-winning chef artist and founder, Janice Wong; cooking content creator, Lennard Yeong; and founder and recipe developer of Bakeomaniac, Javier Tan. The judges will evaluate the dishes based on the story and meaning behind them, the presentation, as well as its creativity and originality.
Now, for the most exciting part: the grand winner will bring home a new Thermomix TM7 and a cash prize of $2,000. All other finalists will also receive a cash prize of $500 each, so everyone walks away a winner!
Not taking part in the cook-off? You can still join in the fun and try out the Thermomix TM7! Come by for the roadshow at Paya Lebar Quarter from 10 to 15 August 2026, and be part of the live audience for the finale.
