While a quick day trip is wonderful, you can stay overnight at the Rotary Park Campsite and have a barbecue, too.

2. Tai Po Waterfront Park
With over 22 hectares of land, Tai Po Waterfront Park is the largest public park in Hong Kong, and has some of the most diverse sakura trees in the city. Here, you’ll be able to experience the almond-scented, whitish-pink Yoshino cherry tree. The Fuji cherry tree is also featured, hailing from Mount Fuji with light pink blooms. Want the perfect view? 3. Mount Yoshino, Japan

4. Jinhae, South Korea

The Jinhae Gunhangje Cherry Blossom Festival is expected to be attended by millions of people in 2023 – and with good reason. One of the biggest cherry blossom festivals in the world, the occasion always has crowds flocking to the area to see the beautiful shades of pink and white. You’ll be able to see blooming flowers like never before and bask in the beautiful backdrop of Jinhae. The 10-day festival takes advantage of spring and offers delicious food, cultural performances, and spectacular views. 5. High Park, Toronto

In 1959, Tokyo presented Toronto with 2,000 cherry blossom trees, many of which were planted in High Park.
