A guide to the best skateparks in Hong Kong
1. Tseung Kwan O Skatepark, Hong Kong Velodrome Park
The Tseung Kwan O Skatepark inside Hong Kong Velodrome Park is easily the crème de la crème of the city’s skateparks. It was overseen by Convic, who’ve built over 700 of the best skate facilities in the world. There is plenty of variety here – a whole assortment of smoothly curved ramps, ledges, and rails. You’ll also find drinking fountains, changing facilities with showers, plus floodlights and a first aid room. It sits in a landscaped park with verdant grass to rest on after the session, too. Definitely one of the top skateparks in Hong Kong.

3. On Lok Mun Street Playground

On Lok Mun Street Playground earns points for staying open the latest – the lights go out at 11pm so you can have a productive session after the sun goes down. However, it loses points for being so damn far away! Nevertheless, it’s worth the journey – this $51-million park has three sets of smooth bowls, plus rails and ledges. There are also drinking fountains, floodlights, and a first aid room.
