8. Club Rangoon’s birthday celebration
Has it already been two years since it opened? Time has flown, and so has Club Rangoon with its bold contemporary Burmese plates. The team will be introducing a refreshed food and cocktail programme, moving beyond the traditional style, and reimagining the potential of Burmese cuisine.
Drop by this weekend for the three-day celebration, starting with guest shifts by Stay Gold Flamingo, Offtrack, Bar Bon Funk, and Naga House. On Friday, Club Rangoon’s chef Noom takes over the kitchen with Camp Krapao for a spirited take on Thai food. The Singapore Night Festival has returned with its latest edition, celebrating all things mythical and legendary. 10. [Free!] Art Again presents Nauti: All Things Naughty and Nautical
Secondary art market Art Again is celebrating its third anniversary with one of its largest exhibitions yet! Over 50 works from 15 private collections (unseen for decades!) will be on display, created by the likes of Cheong Soo Pieng, Chua Ek Kay, Anthony Poon, Ng Eng Teng, and Teng Nee Cheong. This exhibition will spotlight two subjects that dominated mid-twentieth-century Singapore art – the river and the nude. Painted in the same period, Art Again brings these subjects into the same room to ponder how differently each subject is treated.

11. Lilytopia
When you think of Egypt, images of giant sand dunes and stone structures may come to mind first. But did you know the Nile used to be lined with lush gardens? Gardens by the Bay is shining a light on the vibrant and colourful landscapes of the sand in its first-ever Ancient Egypt-themed display. Vividly coloured temples will be taking over the Flower Dome for a limited time, housing artefacts inspired by Ancient Egypt. And yes, you can expect the space to be sprawling with lilies, including the Egyptian Blue Lotus – a water lily revered as a symbol of rebirth and the sun.

12. Gelato Messina x Butter
We take any excuse to pop by Gelato Messina for a scoop or two. And when one of our favourite ice cream shops in Singapore features cookies for the first time, you best believe we’re going to be there every day for the rest of the month! Hong Kong’s favourite American bake shop Butter will be popping up at Messina with its beloved cookies, baked fresh every day. Placed within one of Singapore’s busiest urban precincts, they’re meant to create a brief pause in your daily rush.

19. Na Oh’s summer menu
Some restaurants are worth travelling across Singapore for, and Na Oh is one of them. Tucked away inside the Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS), this modern Korean restaurant’s new four-course prix fixe menu celebrates Korean summer ingredients in an elegant way.
Expect beautifully plated starters before choosing your main event. We’d happily go back for the Pyongyang-style cold noodles, featuring a beef and dongchimi broth, shaved raw beef loin, and marinated quail eggs. It’s perfect for Singapore’s heat.
If you’re after something heartier, the samgyetang, starring tender young chicken stuffed with glutinous rice, hits the spot. Feeling indulgent? Add on the charcoal-grilled Hanwoo rib finger skewer or the Hanwoo tartare – both are standouts. Even better, many of the vegetables and herbs are harvested from the restaurant’s on-site Smart Farm, giving the menu a lovely seed-to-table touch.

2026 must be a year of firsts, because National Gallery Singapore is hosting its first-ever R18 exhibition! Passion is Volcanic features intimate presentations of over 70 artworks exploring desire, sexuality, and the human body. Each theme has shaped artistic practices and discourse in Southeast Asia, and you might be able to identify them if you look beyond the initial erotic displays.
