The race format gets an update!
The Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix 2026 will feature an inaugural Sprint format this year! This new format is meant to encourage meaningful action and more dynamic energy, with the race length cut down to a third of the typical Grand Prix distance, lasting about 30 minutes. Teams will now be under intense pressure, as they have less time to get an unfamiliar car ready before the race.
The stakes have also been raised! As the Sprint race progresses through its three stages, drivers will be eliminated in an incredibly short timeframe, giving them less room for error as they attempt to race for additional points. This race creates new make-or-break situations, upping the chances for racers to vie for the driver’s championship.
Off-track entertainment at F1
Exhilarating races aside, the Singapore Grand Prix is also highly anticipated for its entertainment lineup. It’s no wonder, as the stage plays host to a stellar range of artists and musicians every year.

Yes, tickets to the F1 Singapore Grand Prix 2027 will be available soon! You’d be surprised at how quickly tickets can get snapped up. The waitlist is currently open, so you can’t reserve tickets just yet. However, when sales do open, there are two ways to get access to these super early bird tickets:
- Place a deposit to get priority access to official F1 ticket packages before they become available to the public.
- Join the waitlist and speak with a sales representative who can give you more information if you don’t want to commit to the deposit.

1. Thursday Pit Lane Experience
Taking place a day before the F1 Singapore Grand Prix, the Thursday Pit Lane Experience is an exclusive chance to visit the Zone 1 F1 Village before the gates to Circuit Park officially open. Get a peek at the Formula 1 team garages and take a stroll down the pit lane. This opportunity is only open to Singaporeans and permanent residents, so make full use of the chance to check out this unique tour! Ballots for the 2026 walking tour have yet to be opened. Based on last year’s timing, we can expect them to open around late August to early September.

2. Porsche Carrera Cup Asia 2026
All the weekend racing action is never-ending! On top of the Formula 1 Grand Prix, fledgling talents and veterans will participate in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia. This race showcases the very best GT competitors, putting their skills to the test in a multi-level competition. This year, the race will conclude at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, so we may even see a crowning awards ceremony!

If you’re already itching to soak in some Formula 1 action, check out the Formula 1 Exhibition happening at Gardens by the Bay! 4. Sago Festival of Speed
The neighbourhood of Duxton Hill is about to be transformed for a Formula 1-themed block party for the ages, and gearheads must make their way down. 9. SGP: Dare To Be Different exhibition
This ongoing exhibition at Dempsey takes you through the evolution of the Singapore Formula 1 Grand Prix over the years. Discover what the event looked like in its early days and how it evolved. Did you know the Marina Bay Street Circuit is made from a special F1 mix, the race lights have to be assembled and disassembled before and after each race, and drivers sweat out at least three litres of water during the race? These are all the lesser-known fun facts we learnt during the exhibition.
The highlight is the display of SF16-H, SF15-T, and SF14-T cars driven by Charles Leclerc and Kimi Raikkonen. You can even see how smooth the tyres look after racing, which we find pretty incredible. Other things to see include video interviews of the architect who created the F1 Pit Building, the team behind the F&B planning, and the designers of our Marina Bay Street Circuit.

10. Singapore Sidecars: Night Race Party Tours
You don’t get many opportunities to ride in a sidecar in Singapore, so why not make it an extra-special one? Singapore Sidecars is hosting tours around the city for the Grand Prix season. Grab your helmet and hop in as bikes take you through multiple Formula 1 party venues, heritage sites, and the street circuit. This year’s edition has a dining option where you can end the race at Prego! Which ticket should I get? What does each ticket mean?
2026 ticket details have yet to be finalised. However, here are the ticket descriptions from last year:
Zone 4 Walkabout: Allows you to roam through Zone 4 freely, and view the race from viewing platforms at trackside locations. It also gives you access to the performance stages, including the Padang Stage. This is the best ticket for people who are more keen on the concert and entertainment segments.
Premier Walkabout: Gives you access to roam Zone 1 to Zone 4 freely, letting you pick where you want to watch the race. You get entertainment and F&B options as well across the entire Circuit Park. Also comes with a complimentary ride to the Singapore Flyer, and access to all performance stages including Zone 4 Padang Stage and Zone 1 Wharf Stage. This ticket is best for the fan who wants the flexibility of watching the race from any part of the track while being able to roam the F1 village.
Grandstands: These tickets come with designated seating and are sectioned by the area where the grandstands are situated. Most grandstand tickets (except Stamford, and Padang Grandstand) offer access to all zones, performance stages, and complimentary rides on the Singapore Flyer. This is best for avid fans who want an almost front row seat to the action.
Hospitality packages: The luxurious way to experience the race, you can catch all the action in an air-conditioned environment with dedicated F&B service. Packages also come with perks like pit lane walks and dedicated viewing areas.
Do I need earplugs?
We'd recommend going with earplugs because the sound of the cars zooming past can be deafening! If you're going with children, this is a must-have.
Can I bring food, drinks, or flags?
You are only allowed to bring in an empty water bottle of up to 600ml. No outside food or drinks are allowed in the park.

Entrances are strategically located nearby many MRT stations. You can enter through any gate, but we recommend dropping by the closest gate to your grandstand or designated zone.
