Admire original artworks and massive dioramas
A true treat for any science fiction fan is the world-class art collection. And no, these aren’t just your regular replicas or prints! At the heart of the experience is the showcase of over 300 oil, acrylic, and gouache artworks that defined the golden age of sci-fi and fantasy.
But the truly impressive feat for us is the display of over 10,000 miniature figurines! The sprawling setup is split into three humongous dioramas. This includes a display of “Forever War” (a depiction of a medieval fantasy battle), and the world’s largest recreation of Atlantis.
A local sci-fi spin
To celebrate the global debut, organiser The Imaginariad has commissioned Singapore-based illustrator Kristal Melson to put a local spin on the genres. Her exclusive “Future Singapore: 2126” series features her signature electrifying palette and 20 years of expertise. Her works blend local lore with storytelling and iconic Singapore motifs like durians, the Marina Bay Sands silhouette, and the Merlion. Her work will be available only at the Portals Experience gift shop.
