All the good eats in Simpang Bedok
1. Mr. Kneady’s
For anyone that adores the bakes from Mr. Kneady’s at Maxwell, we’re happy to report that easties can now enjoy great sourdough bakes in Simpang Bedok! The pizzas here are top- notch. Ingredients like pork sausage, lamb, and smoked chicken sit on crispy sourdough pizza bases toasted to perfection. While you can get a classic loaf of sourdough to go, we highly recommend trying the limited flavours. Previous flavours that will hopefully make a comeback are black pepper and smoked mozzarella, emmental cheese and oregano, and dark chocolate and mint.

2. Mahamoodiya
If there’s any place you need to go to for late-night supper, it’s Mahamoodiya. It serves up some of the crispiest pratas we’ve ever had. A must-order is the plaster prata, which comes with a runny egg in the middle. Cut through that and you’ve got a perfect mix of textures. Dip it into the savoury curry and you’ll get the perfect bite. The best part? It’s open 24 hours. So no matter what time it may be, if your hunger pangs are calling, you know where to get your food fix.

3. Selegie Soyabean
There’s nothing quite like a bowl of silky smooth soya bean pudding to get you through your day. Selegie Soyabean has outlets all around the island, and we love the one at Simpang Bedok. Besides the classic beancurd, you can also get honeydew soya pudding, mango soya pudding, and grass jelly with various toppings. Don’t forget to order some crispy you tiao so that you can dip it into the soya bean. And if that doesn’t strike your fancy, there are plenty of traditional and modern bakes you can get. From peanut fritters and fried butterflies to blueberry muffins and Portugese egg tarts, the choices are endless.
