Chanel’s Coco Café opens its doors tomorrow - here’s a brief review as well tips to enjoy the beauty pop-up
For those of us who live and breathe beauty, the Chanel Coco Café Singapore is a gift from the gods. Our enthusiasm for the nine-day beauty pop-up is no secret – we broke the news of its opening early on, and were one of the first to spill all of its details. The clock is ticking for its official public opening tomorrow – have you made your reservation yet? We set foot in the beauty wonderland yesterday, and here’s what we honestly thought.
Try EVERYTHING
If you’re a Chanel fan like me, chances are you’ll be hyperventilating upon your arrival. I spent the first 10 minutes oohing and aahing over its pink premises (closet pink fan here), dizzying makeup displays and coffee cups emblazoned with the Chanel logo. But once you’re done swooning, plonk yourself down at the Colour Bar for a mini-makeover. If you have time to try only one thing, it should be the Rouge Coco gloss. I usually hate lipglosses but these aren’t sticky at all, and have incredible staying power. Also don’t forget to head to the Nail Bar – you’ll enjoy a spiffy express mani for free (yup, you read that right) using the new shades of the Le Vernis nail polish.
Unwind after shopping at The Lounge
For a truly immersive experience at Coco Café, you need to experience The Lounge. The plush booth seating is the perfect Insta-worthy spot for you and your gang to unwind and catch up over coffee and cake. Note that access is only applicable if you’ve made a purchase (which also entitles you to a complimentary delish cake or mini-tart). For a free drink to go along with that, register beforehand at the Coco Café mini-site.
