June 2025 is shaping up to be an exhilarating month, with exciting events happening all over the island. Joining i Light is the Balloon Museum, which is bringing its inflatable art exhibition to Singapore from 7 June to 31 August 2025. Here are more deets on what you can look forward to at this larger-than-life experience.
Balloon Museum in Singapore: What you can expect
An interactive journey through inflatable artworks

This globally celebrated exhibition is no ordinary museum experience. Landing for the first time in Singapore, Balloon Museum’s Pop Air – Art is Inflatable features 17 new inflatable installations by leading international artists, each bringing their unique flair to the show. It’s the perfect mix of fun and art. If you loved Bubble Planet, this will feel like its whimsical, artistic cousin.

Whether you’re snapping a selfie inside a colourful inflatable jungle, posing by an oversized balloon sculpture, or simply soaking in the exhibition’s playful vibe, the Balloon Museum is designed to be a visual treat. With every corner thoughtfully curated, this is your chance to flood your feed with vibrant, one-of-a-kind shots that stand out.
A popping good time at these fun installations

Get ready to marvel at the innovative creations when the Balloon Museum lands in Singapore! Unleash your inner child at Bau(ncy) Hous, an inflatable maze that comes alive thanks to LED lights. You might even spot patterns and animations, depending on where you stand.
You’ll have a ball of a time at Hypercosmo, which represents the heart of the exhibition. Visitors are invited to play and immerse themselves in the ginormous ball pit. Projections, sounds, and movements depicting natural environments (the sky, sea, and earth) accompany the experience.

How about something quirky to perk up your visit? The Goof features an entourage of gentle giants, though deets on how they got here and their motives for visiting Earth are murky. This is the first artwork folks will encounter at the exhibition. Their large eyes and protruding appendages make it seem like they’re looking curiously down on you as you approach them.
Later on, you’ll meet The Ginjos, colourful inflatable monsters poised to take over the exhibition with their cuteness. Don’t be afraid to interact with these beings – tender embraces and playful tugs are welcome! – despite their missing mouths.
Be blown away by IG-worthy moments everywhere

Of course, visitors can expect plenty of photo ops across the event space. Whip out your camera phones at Cloud Swing. As its name suggests, swings are suspended from glowing clouds. Once someone takes a seat and begins swinging, the white glow surrounding the hovering clouds turns into vibrant colours and lighting effects.

Look out for two installations that look like balloons performing effortless choreographies. At Glowing Ballet, balloons move in cycles within an airstream that mimics a tornado. These movements make it look like a mesmerising dance.
Soft Hurricane operates similarly. An ensemble of balloons is propelled by hidden fans underneath them, which can bring the balloons together or repel each other. Each balloon is illuminated by a spotlight that switches on and off following preset patterns.
Here’s one installation where you can pretend you’re starring in an expensive music video. A Quiet Storm plunges visitors into darkness and surrounds them with soap bubbles filled with thick white smoke. At the first impact, the bubbles will explode and release their thick clouds.
Everyone’s invited, regardless of age

There’s no denying that this Pop Air exhibition is perfect for everyone. It’s all about embracing the carefree fun of inflatables while exploring the creative genius behind these incredible installations.
