Hong Kong is full of exciting tourist attractions, Instagram spots and vibrant neighbourhoods just waiting to be explored, including Kowloon City and Wong Tai Sin. But if you want to see something truly spectacular, then you’ve got to watch one of the large fireworks displays that take place over Victoria Harbour on special days, such as National Day or at Chinese New Year. Even though, there aren’t as many displays of wonderful pyrotechnics as there once was in the city, if you’re wondering where to watch fireworks displays in Hong Kong, these six spots won’t disappoint. Just be sure to get there really, really early.
Where to watch fireworks displays in Hong Kong
1. One Peking

If you’re wanting to enjoy exceptional food and drinks while you relax and watch the fireworks over Victoria Harbour, then the aqua group has you covered. Located in the One Peking building in Tsim Sha Tsui, guests can choose to either dine at contemporary Italian/Japanese restaurant aqua or to indulge in wonderful cuisine from Northern China at Hutong.
The perfect place to take in the view of Victoria Harbour, Hutong Hong Kong serves up delicious Shanghai and Beijing cuisine in amazing surrounds.

Those looking for cocktails and great champagne will want to head straight to aqua Spirit, where the same great views can be enjoyed. When it comes to where to watch fireworks displays in Hong Kong, you won’t be disappointed at One Peking.
2. IFC
Looking for a fun way to watch the fireworks in Hong Kong? Head to the top of IFC Mall in Central and enjoy one of the best vantage points in town, what’s more, it’s a public space, so you can pack your own picnic (complete with bubbles, of course!) If you want something a little fancier, then book into one of the restaurants on the rooftop and enjoy a special meal as you watch the show.
3. Spasso

Another TST favourite, Spasso serves up amazing Italian fare alongside its excellent view of the waterfront. Usually, the restaurant does a few seatings whenever the fireworks are happening, so be sure to book well in advance to ensure you get a great view.
4. Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade
Join the crowds on Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade and get the best view of the fireworks atop the harbour. The perfect spot for photos, just make sure that you get their super early to get a good position. It’s also the perfect spot to watch the Symphony of Lights, so you can get double bang for your buck!

5. InterContinental Hong Kong

Thanks to its prime location just next to the water in TST, InterContinental Hong Kong is the place to go if you’re wondering where to watch the fireworks displays in Hong Kong, plus there’s something for everybody. Book in for a stay at one of the Harbourview rooms, and enjoy your own private viewing with your loved one, or get the gang together and enjoy a meal at one of their many restaurant options, including Harbourside, Nobu or The Steak House.
6. Tamar Park
One of our favourite parks in Hong Kong, Tamar Park in Admiralty is an excellent place to catch the fireworks with the whole family (and a large portion of Hong Kong.) Thanks to its central location, this spot does get very busy, so be sure to get there with plenty of time to spare to avoid disappointment.
