Ramadan is here, and viral food is back at Kampong Glam Ramadan Bazaar. It spans across Arab, Kandahar and Muscat Street with over 100 booth stalls. And with every festive bazaar, it’s not just about the classics anymore. Inventive drinks and food are taking over the stalls and drawing crowds. I recently visited the Kampong Glam Ramadan Bazaar and tried out these items myself to see if they live up to the hype. While you’re soaking in the Ramadan spirit, don’t miss a visit to Geylang Serai Ramadan Bazaar for even more festive eats and lively market vibes.

1. Gotcha Matcha

Gotcha Matcha, a young start-up which became popular at our local pasar malams, has quickly built a name for itself with creative matcha concoctions. No, these folks don’t just stop at strawberry matcha – think unique and seasonal flavours like bandung matcha cloud and vanilla cinnamon.
As a self-proclaimed matcha lover, I had to try the bazaar-exclusive pistachio matcha ($9) along with the viral Dubai chewy cookie as an add-on ($6). The matcha is smooth and earthy, but the pistachio taste is subtle, overshadowed by the chocolate syrup. The Dubai chewy cookie is soft on the outer mochi layer, with a satisfying crunchy bite in the middle. It’s not overly sweet like I imagined. While it’s an interesting treat to try at least once, I probably won’t repurchase it, especially considering the hefty price tag.
Price: Drinks from $7.50; 2 pieces of Dubai chewy cookie $6 as an add-on, $10 on its own; banana pudding topping from $2.50
Address: Gotcha Matcha, Booth MS12, Kampong Glam Ramadan Bazaar
2. Gohed Gostan by Tarik

If you spot three massive cheese wheels at a booth, that’s Gohed Gostan. Yes, they’re the ones serving up cheese wheel pastas. I tried the steak carbonara ($15), where the pasta is tossed directly in the cheese wheel before serving, which gives it that rich, creamy cheesy coating.
Flavour-wise, it’s nicely seasoned and satisfying on its own. The steak is a little inconsistent; some pieces are tender while others are slightly tougher. Thankfully, the pasta carried the dish. If you’re here, come for the cheese-pull moment and solid carbonara base.
Price: From $12

3. Beef Roti

Don’t be turned off by the long queue at this stall, because trust us, it’s worth the wait. This Chinese Muslim stall blew my mind with the roti. Each piece is handmade and deep-fried on the spot, so patience is key. If you’re in line for the next batch, expect about 15 to 30 minutes of wait time.
I gave the chicken roti ($9.50) a try, and it did not disappoint. It’s super crispy on the outside with a juicy, tender chicken patty inside. The pastry-to-meat ratio is just perfect, and it can be pretty filling too. Pro tip: share among your friends or family so you can save stomach space for the rest of the bazaar goodies.
Price: From $9.50

4. Roti Awan

This is a popular brand that originates from Penang. Roti Awan (which translates to cloud bread) is known for its soft and airy texture, and is typically served with a variety of sweet or savoury spreads.
I bought a box of three for $15, consisting of Oreo, chocolate and ube flavours. Out of the three, ube was my favourite, and the bread really lives up to the hype with its fluffy, cloud-like texture. That said, it’s on the sweeter, more indulgent side. So it’s best shared unless you have a serious sweet tooth.
Price: From $15 for a box of three; $25 for a box of six
Address: Roti Awan, Booth K11, Kampong Glam Ramadan Bazaar
5. Kwazy Korndog

Corn dogs are a popular staple at bazaars now, so of course, I had to swing by at Kwazy Korndog. They’ve got some pretty wild flavours on the menu, including mala, Kit Kat and Buldak ramen. I asked for recommendations and ended up trying the sour cream and onion flavour ($7).
While the seasoning has a prominent taste, I wish the crust were crisper. If sour cream and onion isn’t something you’d typically order on your own, I’d say play it safe with the classics. Go for the cheesy or chicken sausage corndogs.
Price: From $6

6. Tomahawk Havoc Kak Ummi
@tomahawkhavockakummi “Premium tomahawk steak at $49.90? Sounds crazy right? We know. 😜 But this is Tomahawk Havoc — no gimmicks, just real quality.” 📍 Muscat Street, MS-9 (behind Sultan Mosque) #tomahawkhavoc #streets2ring #gemilangkamponggelam2026

I kept spotting people walking around the bazaar with this extra-long slab of meat, so I had to investigate. Turns out, it’s a tomahawk set going for just $49.90. It comes with one massive tomahawk (at least 600g) plus two packets of nasi lemak. Each tomahawk is cooked to your preferred doneness, so do expect a bit of a wait.
The steak is well-seasoned, juicy, and served with black pepper sauce on the side. Meanwhile, the nasi lemak comes with sambal that has a solid kick, ikan bilis, peanuts, and a whole egg to complete the set. They even provide gloves so you can dig in without worrying about getting your hands messy.
Price: Tomahawk box at $49.90
Address: Tomahawk Havoc Kak Ummi, Booth MS09, Kampong Glam Ramadan Bazaar
7. Fiha

Fiha (Flowers of Paradise) serves up gelato and croissants with a whole sensory experience. Besides the food items, you’ll be showered with positive energy, little flower petals and even a light rose water mist.
The gelato flavours are just as unique as the presentation, with options like rose milk, blue pea white chocolate raspberry and Korean strawberry cheesecake. My top pick includes the honey butter croissant with the rose milk gelato, a perfect dessert combination under the hot sun.
Price: From $7
Address: Fiha, Booth K1B, Kampong Glam Ramadan Bazaar
