We've got the scoop to this year’s edition of the Kampong Glam Ramadan Bazaar.
Fasting month is fast approaching, and you know what that means – Ramadan bazaars will be back in full swing! One we love? Kampong Glam Ramadan Bazaar, which runs from 19 February to 25 March 2025. Titled Gemilang Kampong Gelam (meaning ‘glorious Kampong Gelam’), this year’s edition boasts 120 F&B and retail stalls, fun workshops, performances, and even a light show. Here’s a peep into what you can expect.
Kampong Glam Ramadan Bazaar 2025: Food stalls we’re excited about
1. Dapur Ambeng
If you’re planning to drop by the bazaar famished, this is the first (and perhaps only) stall to hit up. Dapur Ambeng serves up familiar Malay food everyone loves, from nasi ambeng and ayam percik to roti kirai and vegetarian curry puffs. Get the bubur kampung, a comforting dish that’ll calm you down before you have to navigate the crowds.

2. Picanhas’

This local brand is a mainstay at the bazaar, so we’re not surprised when it was announced that Picanhas will be present at this year’s festivity. We’re expecting the usual from these folks: pulled picanhas in pitas, and the ever-popular steak and mash. But who knows, the team might have a few tricks up their sleeves.

3. Overrice
A well-known fixture in the Haji Lane enclave, Overrice is set to join the ranks at Kampong Glam Ramadan Bazaar 2025. Foodies can get their fill of New York-inspired rice bowls with protein options including beef, chicken, and plant-based alternatives. If you want to skip the grainy carbs, sink your teeth into pitas and tacos instead.

4. Meokja

How does halal, authentic Korean food sound? Meokja returns to feed bazaar visitors with its top-notch offerings. We’re certain the menu will have Korean street food faves like tteokbokki (rice cakes), kimbap (seaweed rice rolls), fish cake soup, and hotteok (sweet pancake with brown sugar syrup filling). It’ll be nice to have a few Korean stars drop by the booth, but that’s probably too much of an ask.

5. Dubai Kunafa
The viral kunafa chocolate continues its chokehold over Singapore foodies, and tbh, are we even surprised it’s making an appearance at this year’s Kampong Glam bazaar? Prices might be what you’ve seen at other night markets across the island, so be prepared to shell out more to satisfy your sweet tooth craving.

6. Offday Coffee + Matcha
Parched after walking all around? We recommend swinging by this booth, which offers beverages with a unique twist. Think flavours like watermelon milk, Solero (yes, like the ice cream), and iced pandan milk tea. This year, Offday Coffee pairs up with Plus Matcha, which means you can also get your hands on the green tea in its glorious form and fascinating combinations.

7. Smashed
Freshly grilled, seasoned to perfection tacos? Oh yes, please! Run, don’t walk to this stall at Kandahar Street, which dishes out mouthwatering smashed tacos. The avocado ones are spec-taco-lar – check out the cheese pull! These baddies may or may not appear in Smashed’s regular menu after the bazaar, so better head and try ’em before they’re gone… possibly till next year?

8. Roti Bakar Leleh
Those who love bread (like me) must take note of this stall. Enjoy crunchy, buttery toast in various colours and assorted fillings. Sweet options include Nutella, choco crunchy and cream cheese, and kaya gula Melaka. You can also go for savoury flavours like ayam lemak chilli padi, ayam masak merah, and beef rendang. The ‘leleh’ comes from the generous portions, which will overflow once you bite into your toast. Delish!

9. Warung Man Baba
If you ask the older generation about Ramadan bazaars of today, they’ll probably lament the lack of traditional food. Count their lucky stars, ‘cos this stall is taking it back to old school with its offerings. Visitors can sink their teeth into familiar faves like deng deng, karipap, and otah. Wash everything down with air kathira for a true taste of the yesteryears.

10. La Birria Tacos
This homegrown brand got its start at Ramadan bazaars, so it’s only fitting for La Birria Tacos to make a grand return to the very place where it all began. Get ready to feast on halal Mexican street food! Fingers crossed there will be fusion flavours on offer. Sambal belacan tacos, anyone?

11. Tebuuuu x Teh Ohh

One way to beat the Singapore heat is to cool down with a refreshing cup of sugarcane juice. Get your hands on this perennial favourite here, or go wild and sip on a blend of sugarcane and tea beverages. If the queue’s too long at this booth, Tebuuuu’s standalone stall is a hop and a skip away.
Tebuuuu, Booth MS8, Muscat Street
12. Kueh Raya Viral
Going by the stall’s name, you should be able to guess what will be available here. We’re thinking it’ll feature both evergreen and contemporary Hari Raya snacks like pineapple tarts, kueh bangkit (tapioca cookies), cornflake cookies, sugee biscuits, and more.

13. Yoda-ebak!
If you must have rice for every meal, drop by this booth and get your hands on the sushi bake. One tray can feed up to two people, which is perfect for small eaters. This hassle-free meal is a great option for walking and eating around the bazaar.

Kampong Glam Ramadan Bazaar 2025: Events and activities
14. A spectacular light show on the weekends

Stick around between 7.40pm and 9pm from Fridays to Sundays for an epic light show at the Sultan Mosque. Happening in 15-minute intervals (timings may vary due to evening prayer calls), the mesmerising visuals symbolise community, renewal, and traditions that define the month of Ramadan. See if you can spot ketupat, date trees, and olives!
15. Take part in a charity run
Kicking off the festivity is Kampong Charity Run 2025, happening on 15 February 2025 between 6am and 10pm. This initiative, in collaboration with Drug Free SG and Big Boyz Run Club, aims to promote drug-free awareness and encourage healthy living among participants as they prepare for the holy month. The 2.4km run spans across the district; all proceeds will go towards Kampong Gelam Community Centre’s beneficiaries.
16. Participate in a mass iftar event

No plans on 22 March? You’re invited to soak in the Ramadan spirit by partaking in a mass iftar along Arab Street. One thousand participants, including beneficiary groups, are expected to congregate at this year’s communal event. What better way to commemorate the month than breaking fast and connecting with others?
17. Flex your creativity at hands-on workshops
It’s not just eating that’s taking place here – you can take part in four special workshops throughout the month. Pick up Arabic calligraphy, transform everyday objects into art, design mini puppet characters, create luxe exfoliating soaps from used coffee grounds, and more. All workshops will be held at Level 2 of Sultan Gate and will cost $20 per session (except for those conducted by Seni Sini, which are free of charge).
18. Enjoy captivating performances
Every Saturday across the five weekends, Kampong Glam Ramadan Bazaar will come alive with traditional Malay dance performances that are all about unity and togetherness. The rousing number is backed by silat groups and kompang performers and takes place at Sultan Mosque.
Dropping by on weekdays? Don’t fret, you’re still able to catch an exciting line-up of performances at the Sultan Gate Park stage. Get a glimpse of contestants from a reality singing competition or watch classic Malay performances such as dikir barat and traditional dances.

19. Go on a tour or take part in a treasure hunt
As part of the SG60 celebrations, bazaar visitors are welcome to partake in activities that highlight the historic Kampong Glam. First up: a two-hour tour guided by Let’s Go Tour, where participants explore cultural landmarks like the Sultan Mosque and the bustling Kandahar Street. You’ll also sample various traditional Malay delicacies and desserts. The tour takes place on Wednesdays, 12pm to 2pm, and costs $35 per pax (inclusive of a $15 bazaar food voucher).
Another fun weekly activity to take part in is a mystery treasure hunt. See if you can find Gemilang Kampong Gelam 2025 coins hidden across five areas within the enclave and stand to win up to $8,000 in cash! Gather clues from participating stores and social media as you go about the hunt.
When: 19 February 2025 to 25 March 2025
Opening hours: Mondays to Thursdays, 2pm to 11pm; Fridays to Sundays, 2pm to 11.30pm
Admission: Free unless otherwise stated
