As Regina George’s mother puts it: these aren’t regular laundrettes, they’re cool ones! From vibey interiors and curated playlists to arcade games, these hip laundromats in Singapore level up your laundry game.
Confession: I love to clean. (Don’t worry, I’m no germaphobe!) One of my fave chores? Laundry. While I typically do this at home, I’ve tried my fair share of laundromats across Singapore, whether out of necessity or curiosity. You can say I’m a bit of a laundromat connoisseur.
Most laundromats are purely practical – wash, dry, and fold – but some go the extra spin. Think vibey interiors, plush seats, curated playlists, and even artisanal coffee. Suddenly, laundry day doesn’t feel like a chore. Here are the cool spots that make you wanna air your dirty laundry proudly in public.
Cool laundromats in Singapore
1. The Laundry Connection: For your laundry days to feel like a Wes Anderson scene

What do you know about Cuppage Plaza? Most people would associate this run-down mall with bustling Japanese eateries, but venture a little deeper and you’ll stumble upon The Laundry Connection, a new self-service laundry that’s unexpectedly cool. Forget dingy and practical – this spot greets you with striking pink lights and retro neon signs, a vibrant aesthetic that immediately sets it apart from the cookie-cutter laundromats nearby. Intrigued, I had to step in for a peek.
Inside, the pink theme continues with glossy, salmon-hued oval tiles lining the walls. Washing machines and dryers sit neatly on one side, while two long mosaic tables offer space to chill, fold, or simply vibe while your laundry tumbles. I also spied a gachapon machine that pops out fresh-smelling laundry capsules… ‘cos why not? Tbh, it didn’t feel like a laundromat at all – more like a hip hangout serving Wes Anderson vibes.
Geidion Wong, the laundromat’s interior designer, was there during my visit, and we chatted animatedly about the space. According to him, there are plans to open other locations within the city area, each with its own colour scheme. How exciting!
The deets: Open daily with 10 washers and six dryers; payment by card, app, or exchange cash for tokens
Look out for: IG-worthy pink tiles and bunny logo; retro neon signs; gachapon detergent machine
Address: The Laundry Connection, #01-21/28 27A, Cuppage Plaza, 5 Koek Road, Singapore 228796
2. The Daily Tumble: Sip coffee and vibe like you’re at a cafe

I’m all for puns, and this laundromat in Singapore’s east side got a chuckle out of me. A stone’s throw from Aljunied MRT station, this laundrette stands out from its neighbours with beige and yellow hues, curved lines, a framed chalkboard sign filled with colourful hand-drawn doodles, and a curated playlist. You’d be forgiven for thinking you’ve just encountered a trendy new cafe.
The space is decked out with ample washers and dryers, so you don’t have to worry about swinging by and not getting a machine. I even spotted a few appliances with “special care” labels specifically for washing pet accessories, soft floor rugs, and even school shoes. Neat! (And before you ask, unfortunately, pets aren’t allowed into the space at the mo.)

Beyond that, The Daily Tumble fashions itself as a “lifestyle laundromat”. What does that mean? Well, you can grab a cuppa courtesy of beloved coffee roasters, Dutch Colony Coffee Co. Sipping on a cappuccino while waiting for my laundry to be done? Don’t mind if I do! There are seats if you wanna hang here, so go ahead and bring a book, plug in a podcast, or just sit back and watch the world go by.
The deets: Open daily with 12 washers and dryers; payment by card, PayNow, or exchange cash for tokens
Look out for: Wallet-friendly brews from Dutch Colony Coffee Co.; books and games at the table near the counter
Address: The Daily Tumble, 92 Lorong 27 Geylang, Singapore 388196
3. Kaki Laundry: For retro vibes and a no-frills neighbourhood charm

A ten-minute walk from The Daily Tumble led me to this laundromat along Geylang Road. Kaki Laundry may be smaller compared to the others on this list, but don’t let that fool you – it’s still mighty. The adorable logo caught my eye first, followed by the sitting area decked out in green tiles. It’s giving old-school void deck vibes, and I’m so here for it.
This coin laundry also offers dry cleaning services. Everything’s welcome here, from evening dresses and baju kurungs to curtains and bedding. Just pop your head into the little curved nook near the entrance, hand over your items, and leave it to the pros. Feeling peckish? While outside food and drinks aren’t allowed, you can grab a canned or bottled drink from the vending machine at the corner.
The deets: Open daily with four washers and dryers; payment by coins
Look out for: Adorable logo; green tiled seating area; dry cleaning window
Address: Kaki Laundry, 566 Geylang Road, Singapore 389513
4. Hangout Laundry: When your laundry routine needs a social life

Laundromats are a dime a dozen in the heartlands, but I can safely say none holds a candle to this one in Bedok North. Hangout Laundry flips the script with a space that feels less like a utilitarian chore zone and more like a cosy, modern cafe.
It felt like I was trespassing into someone’s stylish laundry room when I entered the hangout. The laundromat is large and bright, with several washing machines and dryers neatly spaced out. A wooden table with matching chairs comfortably seating six sits in the centre, while a bar table and stools line the floor-to-ceiling glass window. And that heavenly aroma? Thank the coffee machine in the corner for that.

But Hangout Laundry isn’t just about clean clothes – it’s about community too. The space occasionally hosts gigs (aka “hangouts”, how cute!) where customers can mingle, vibe, and make laundry day actually fun. Just bring your dirty laundry, and you’re basically RSVP-ing to the party.
The deets: Open daily with six washers and eight dryers; payment by PayNow or coins to exchange for tokens.
Look out for: Aircon and Wi-Fi (bless); bar-style seating; hosted events where laundry meets fun
Address: Hangout Laundry, #01-706, 531 Bedok North Street 3, Singapore 460531
5. The Good Husband Laundromats & Drycleaners: Take your laundry to cruising altitude

My search for the funkiest laundromats in Singapore brought me to the far-flung reaches of Changi. As you’ve expected by now, The Good Husband Laundromats & Drycleaners ain’t no ordinary self-service laundry. Right off the bat, I love the tongue-firmly-in-cheek name. It also reflects the founder’s fondness for being in charge of this task at home. Bonus points!
It’s very easy to find this laundromat – just keep your eyes peeled for an aviation-themed space on the second floor of Komo Shoppes. A fair warning, though: it may be sensory overload for some folks. Colourful lights from the vending machines, a floor design mimicking an airport runway, and some unconventional touches you rarely see in a laundry spot. Massage chairs and claw machines, anyone? Try your luck grabbing a Labubu! Yes, it’s a lot, but somehow it all works… like maximalism done right.

Apart from the fancy appearance, this “good husband” also goes above and beyond by offering to take laundry off your hands. Services include wash and fold, ironing, and drycleaning, with a turnaround time of five days. Need your items on the same day? Just let the staff know, and they’ll get it done within seven hours minimum. Oh, you can also get your helmet, shoes, and stroller sterilised here, too! Truly a one-stop shop for all your cleaning needs.
The deets: Open daily with eight washers and 10 dryers; payment by app or coins
Look out for: Claw machines; “lepak one corner”
Address: The Good Husband Laundromats & Drycleaners, #02-15, Komo Shoppes at Parc Komo, 963C Upper Changi Road North, Singapore 506790
Laundry day just got funky, folks!
