@jujudeejuju This is the story of La Bu Bu labubu popmart blindbox
Labubu is a character from a series called The Monsters, created by Hong Kong-born artist Kasing Lung, who spent his formative years in the Netherlands. Inspired by Nordic fairy tales, Lung introduced The Monsters universe in 2015, modelling his characters after elves, fairies, and quirky creatures. In 2019, he signed an exclusive licensing agreement with Pop Mart, and launched the first set, the Forest Concert series.
Things picked up in October 2023 after the release of the viral Macaron Viral Face Blind Boxes. Today, it’s loved by celebs such as Blackpink’s Lisa and has even made an appearance at Milan Fashion Week.
