Whether you’re a toppings maximalist or a purist who swears by Margherita, these are the pizzerias in Singapore we keep going back to. Want more? Check out the best Italian restaurants in Singapore!

1. La Bottega Enoteca

One of our fave pizza joints in town, this East-side gem is rustic, intimate, and absolutely deserving of its spot on the Asia Pacific Top 50 Pizzas 2024 list. With Italian chef-owner Antonio Miscellaneo at the helm, everything’s made with care, from the house-made pasta and pizza dough to the gelato.
You’ll find two standout styles here: the Newpolitan, a crisp, airy take on the Neapolitan, and the Doublecrunch, with a golden, crackly exterior and chewy centre. Both serve as perfect canvases for creative, elevated toppings like sardines with robiola and pachino reduction, or prosciutto toscano with parma ham and Reggiano. It’s the kind of pizza that turns dinner into an experience.
Our rec? Start with the Doublecrunch – it’s a textural dream – and save room for the pistachio tiramisu if it’s on the menu. Btw, reservations are a must, especially on weekends.
Best for: Cosy date nights with excellent pizza
Must-try pizzas: Sarde Doublecrunch; Newpolitan mushrooms; Burrata e San Daniele
How much: Pizzas from $24
Opening hours: Mondays to Thursdays, 5.30pm to 10.30pm, Fridays to Saturdays, 11.30am to 11pm, and Sundays, 11.30am to 10.30pm
Address: 346 Joo Chiat Road, Singapore 427596

2. Pizza Studio Tamaki

Another award-winning pizzeria in Singapore? Yes, please. Pizza Studio Tamaki brings serious craftsmanship to the table, with unique Japanese techniques that set it apart. What do we mean by that? Before baking, the oven surface is seasoned with Okinawan salt. This enhances umami and deepens the mineral notes of each pie. All pizzas also feature charred crusts, which are there by intentional design to balance and elevate the flavours. Not a fan of the salt or char? We’ve got you covered – just let the team know, and they’ll be more than happy to adjust to your preferences.
Looking for some heat for your throat? We highly recommend the arrabbiata. Topped with Aomori garlic, black pepper, chilli padi flakes, pork nduja, datterini tomatoes, parsley, and fresh mozzarella, it’s bold, spicy, and beautifully balanced. This is also chef Tsubasa Tamaki’s fave, and a personal endorsement from the founder means it’s a must-try in everyone’s books.
If you ask for our rec, we’d pick the Bismarck without a second thought. The cheese-based pizza is loaded with mushrooms, salsiccia (pork sausage), pecorino romano, fresh mozzarella, and a Hinata egg right in the centre. Sure, the runny yolk might freak some people out, but we say it complements the gooey cheese perfectly. Add earthy mushrooms and pork sausages to the mix, and you’ve got a rich, indulgent slice that’ll satiate you for days.
Best for: Japanese-style pies crafted with umami-rich perfection
Must-try pizzas: Arrabbiata; Bismarck; 5 formaggi
How much: Pizzas from $22
Opening hours: Daily, 12pm to 3pm & 5pm to 11pm
Address: 38 Tanjong Pagar Road, Singapore 088461
3. Vincenzo Capuano

Love your pizza thin, airy, and beautifully blistered? Vincenzo Capuano, the legendary pizzaiolo and world champion of contemporary pizza, brings his first Asian outpost to Singapore, and it’s a must-visit for pizza purists. Each thin pie is crafted with Nuvola Super flour, fermented for 24 hours to create a light, cloud-like crust with just the right chew. Bonus points: you get to slice it with a gleaming pair of gold scissors, a signature Capuano touch. We like the tool and wish we could take it home with us!
If it’s your first time visiting, you gotta start with the Provola e Pepe. The iconic pizza is stuffed to the brim with smoked provola, tomatoes, and basil. It’s also chef Vincenzo’s personal favourite, so you can say it’s the perfect introduction to his award-winning pies. But our personal favourite (and dark horse) is the tetti illuminati. The fior di latte base is topped with pecorino romano flakes, pistachio grains, cream, basil and mortadella; once you have a slice, you’d be tempted to finish the rest.
Best for: A sexy combination of cloud-like dough and golden scissors
Must-try pizzas: Provola e pepe; tetti illuminati; Don Vincenzo; Napolitudine
How much: Food and drinks from $7
Opening hours: Daily, 12pm to 3pm & 6pm to 11pm

4. L’antica Pizzeria da Michele

If you know, you know – L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele is the real deal. This legendary Neapolitan pizzeria, made famous by Eat Pray Love and generations of pizza purists, has landed its first Asian outpost right here in Singapore. The secret lies in a closely guarded dough recipe and top-quality ingredients flown in from Italy. If you’re planning to dine here, come in a big group and expect more flavours than the original Naples eatery. The wheel wagon pizza is massive, perfect for sharing! And whatever you do, don’t ditch the crust: it’s chewy, blistered, and hands-down the best part.
We kicked things off with the classic Margherita: tangy tomato sauce, creamy Agerola fior di latte, and a generous dusting of aged pecorino Romano DOP. Simple and balanced, as it should be. Another standout? The Cetara, a tomato-based pie topped with pecorino Romano DOP, Leccino olives, capers, and dollops of briny Cetara anchovy paste. Tip: Spread the paste evenly with your fork. It’s intensely salty and umami-packed, so a little goes a long way.
Best for: Those who want to visit the Naples icon made famous by Eat Pray Love
Must-try pizzas: Margherita; Friarielli & Salsiccia; Cetara; Le Rosse; Le Bianche
How much: Pizzas from $22
Opening hours: Monday to Saturday, 12pm to 11pm; Sunday, 12pm to 10pm
Address: #01-08, 8 Club Street, Singapore 069472

5. Fortuna

Fortuna may be the fresh pie on the block, but it’s already developed a cult following – and for good reason. From the 50-hour fermented dough to clever innovations like fried-then-baked pizzas, everything here hits the mark. The space is cosy, stylish, and buzzing with energy, even at lunch when we dropped by. Expect a bright, airy interior with warm tones, an open kitchen where the pizza magic happens, and a playlist that matches the mood: casual, cool, and inviting
What pizzas did we love here? Top of our list is Not Just 4 Cheeses, a rich, melty mix of mozzarella, provolone, pecorino romano, and parmesan… truly indulgent. We’re also big fans of the Singapore Tribute, a bold, local-inspired number topped with chilli crab sauce, crab meat, lemon zest, basil, and parsley. Funky, fiery, and downright addictive.
Best for: Cult favourite pizzas with playful toppings and local flavour twists
Must-try pizzas: Not Just 4 Cheeses; Singapore Tribute; smoked margherita; diavola
How much: Pizzas from $22

6. Puffy Bois

Puffy pizzas and crisp cocktails? That’s a recipe for a good time, and Puffy Bois delivers on both. We love that you can order by the slice, but if you’re all about that airy, chewy crust life (pun fully intended), go for the whole pie, which will set you back from $24. While the classics are solid, we’re especially into the Nduja‑Roni – loaded with spicy nduja sausage and mala capers for a punchy, meaty kick.
And for seafood fans, the Calamari Zaff is a clever twist with saffron bechamel, calamari noodles, and gremolata for a creamy, citrusy hit. Hot tip: ask for the housemade sambal for a fiery kick, but don’t say we didn’t warn you. That jar is addictive! Pair your pies with one of its breezy, no-frills cocktails and consider your night sorted.
Best for: Irresistibly puffy pizzas
Must-try pizzas: Nduja‑Roni; Calamari Zaff
How much: Pizzas from $24

10. Cicheti

Over the years, Cicheti has built a loyal following thanks to its blistered, wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas. Each one is kissed by flame in an Italian-imported oven that gets the crust just right: chewy in the centre, beautifully charred at the edges, and packed with smoky depth. We keep going back for the diavola, a spicy-savoury standout topped with fior di latte, salami, fresh chilli, and a sprinkle of grana padano. It’s balanced, punchy, and never overwhelms.
If you’ve got a soft spot for cheese, the quattro formaggi is a revelation. A blend of four cheeses that melts into a creamy, indulgent base, elevated with a drizzle of Greek honey that brings unexpected sweetness and contrast. Those into bold, briny flavours will love the Romana, which delivers with a tomato and cheese base amped up by salty, sharp, and totally moreish anchovies. You can’t go wrong with any of them, but do come hungry. The crust alone is worth the visit.

Sporting the cheeky slogan “all good things come in 10 inches”, Wild Child proves size isn’t everything. From the team behind The Cicheti Group, this edgy offshoot serves petite Neapolitan-style pizzas with bold, creative toppings on a slow-fermented dough. One standout (and our team’s unanimous fave) is the crispy fried margherita, a genius twist where the base is deep-fried for extra crispness, then piled with creamy stracciatella, semi‑dried San Marzano tomatoes, fresh basil, and aged parmigiano. It’s addictive, textural, and always delivers.

The pizza war is getting stiff in Singapore, but that’s good news for us ‘cos we get to taste each joint’s offerings. Throwing its hat into the ring is Beyond the Dough, helmed by master pizzaiolo Eddie Murakami. It’s all in the details here – these pies are made of premium ingredients from Japan and Italy. If you can handle spicy food, we recommend the Singapore Rampage. It’s a fiery kick to your tongue!
For something cheesy and decadent, try the smoked margherita (with its rich smoked mozzarella) or the luxurious 5 formaggi topped with various cheeses and a drizzle of sweet honey for that sweet-salty finish we can’t get enough of.
