Founded by veteran Colin Chia, Nutmeg & Clove pays homage to Singapore’s rich history. With its menu and cocktail program, we’re not surprised this watering hole made it to the list. This bar reimagines the country’s progression, and we’re always excited to see its reinterpretations of classic dishes and drinks. You can find the use of familiar local ingredients throughout the cocktail menu that pays homage to Singapore and the bar’s history.

2. Offtrack – #16
This music-centric bar is known for dishing out some of the best tunes to set the tone for a great night ahead. We can confirm that! While the music programme is a highlight, we’ll never say no to the Pan-Asian plates or cult classic cocktails. We stepped into the space and were greeted with vibey ambient lighting and music that reverberates through the space. Tables are a little small, so order conservatively (even if the whole menu looks delectable).

A bar with old school train station vibes? What a novelty. Origin Bar is all about journeys – physical, experiential, and metaphorical. The team focuses on future-forward creations, exploring the infinite possibilities of flavour and inspiration. The bar also boasts an impressive inventory with over 600 spirits sourced from around the world. We enjoy dropping by to say hi to the bartenders, who are just as talented as they are friendly.

Opened in 2012, the team constantly holds true to its values of convivial hospitality. Every visit we’ve made has left us with fond memories, even if a bit fuzzy thanks to the delicious libations. 5. Bartenders of Pony – #52 & Campari One To Watch
Barely six months into its official opening, Bartenders of Pony has already made it to the Asia’s 50 Best Bars extended list! A testament to how beloved this hot spot has become in such a short amount of time. From the traditional colour palette of obangsaek and tiger artwork inspired by a Joseon-era folk painting, to the cosy Sarangbang, the space is as welcoming as it is beautiful. Created by two award-winning bartenders, Side Door is our typical haunt when we’re looking for a quick drink or a nightcap when we’re in the Maxwell area. Husband and wife duo Tryson and Bannie go the extra mile to make us feel welcomed, chatting freely when they have a free moment. This bar makes you feel like you’re being hosted in someone’s home, and is usually filled with chatter during the nights. Consider it home away from home!

Tucked behind a coffee shop, Cat Bite Club may be unassuming in both facade and size — but make no mistake, it packs a punch with its cocktails. The menu shines a spotlight on agave and rice spirits, enlightening guests on these often-overlooked categories. Our visits are always warmly welcomed with an array of cocktails, including beloved signatures that have remained on the menu since the establishment’s opening. We recommend it for smaller groups of no more than four people as space is limited, but it’s always a banging good time.

One of the icons located along Amoy Street, you’ll have to resist the allure of Stay Gold’s wine bar before you can hit the cocktail bar! Past some curtains, you’ll be treated to a neon light-drenched room playing classic rock all night long.
