1. Boy n Burger
Craving for burgers – but on a budget? Boy n Burger has you covered. One of the city’s new restaurants in 2021, this American diner aims to elevate the fast-casual dining scene with its quick, tasty, and affordable burgers. Using fresh and locally sourced veggies, as well as ingredients provided by artisan suppliers, Boy n Burger sets are available from $53 and include a choice of sides and drinks. Besides personalising your burger with add-ons, you can even enjoy an unlimited self-serve drinks refill when dining in.
Moreover, Boy n Burger has launched a breakfast menu in September 2021. From just $13 – an excellent deal considering the area – you can dig into some scrumptious buns and sandwiches to kickstart your day.

2. Morty’s
One of the coolest kids on the block, Morty’s deli outlet serves a full dinner menu that includes a selection of burgers. Wrap your lips around the Double Smoked Meat Burger, or for those who like it rich, sample the Smoked Blue Cheese Burger topped with sautéed onions, avocado, tomato, lettuce, and Morty’s own spicy mayo. Non-meat-eaters can go for the variety of plant-based burgers, such as the Lean & Strong Burger which is made with an Impossible Patty, avocado, kale, tomato, and gluten-free thousand island dressing.

3. Burger Joys
It puts the burger in the mouth and it tastes good at Burger Joys. With juicy meat patties and fresh ingredients, the signature double cheeseburger is the perfect hangover cure; whereas our resident vegetarian loves the veggie option (so shroomy and delicious). Also, huge kudos to these guys for opening from 11am to 6am, should you find yourself in Wan Chai in the wee hours of morning… P.S. Don’t miss out on the tater tots!

4. Honbo
If you haven’t made it to the independently owned Wan Chai burger joint Honbo yet, you’re missing out – big time. Meaning ‘hamburger’ in Cantonese, Honbo creates burgers the way they should be, with fresh homemade ingredients and lots of love.
While the signature Honbo Burger (which features two 2oz beef patties, double cheese, homemade pickles, and house sauce) has been grabbing the most attention on social media, we love the seafood burgers the best, one of which includes a whole soft shell crab and ginger coleslaw.

5. Two Ediots
Newly renovated in September 2021, Two Ediots has returned to the Wan Chai neighbourhood. A small local gem, the restaurant serves up a variety of burgers, salads, and snacks. Crowd favourites include the Atomic Bomb, which consists of a beef patty and melted cheese that bursts out from a thicc (yes, with two Cs), juicy piece of portobello mushroom; and Travel with Ediots, which is two mini burgers with two different flavours (and onion rings – our fave!)

The Butchers Club Burger (closed)
With a menu limited to burgers, bourbon, and beer, you’d know that The Butchers Club Burger in Wan Chai is the expert when it comes to these items. The original cheeseburger features maple bacon, tomato, pickles, and a special sauce. In addition, the restaurant serves the Beyond Burger, made with a Beyond Meat vegan patty, beetroot crisps, and vegan cheese. Definitely one of the best Wan Chai burger joints!

HOKO Farm (closed)
Established in 2016, HOKO Farm offers customers a range of Western fusion cuisine. Their Aussie wagyu beef burger has always been a big hit; whereas if you’re a vegetarian, you can opt for the awesome grilled portobello burger. But, if you want something extra fancy, go for the one with added mushrooms plus blue cheese on top.
