There are 44 public swimming pools in Hong Kong, and while we haven’t taken a dip in all of them, we do think that the K Town one is pretty amazing. Located by the pier overlooking Victoria Harbour, this facility has both indoor and outdoor pools that are situated inside a futuristic building with a curved, triangle-shaped rooftop. Not only is this one of our favourite public swimming pools in Hong Kong, it costs less than $20 to use – talk about cheap and easy ways to cool down!

2. YMCA Bridges Street Centre
If you’re looking for a centrally located swimming pool in Hong Kong, YMCA Bridges Street Centre is a prime choice. Built in 1918, YMCA Bridges Street Centre houses the first indoor swimming pool in Hong Kong. This recreation and sports centre is located inside a historic complex and is fairly affordable in comparison to the other swimming pools around the city. Bonus: it also hosts swimming lessons for kids!

3. W Hong Kong
Ever imagined a workout among the clouds? Visit W Hong Kong and head to the rooftop pool on the 76th floor, where you’ll be mesmerised by the gorgeous city and harbour view. Called Wet, W Hotel’s pool facility is located 211 metres above ground, making it one of the highest outdoor pools in Hong Kong. If you want to use the pool as a non-guest, you’ll need to purchase a pass. You can simply buy a weekday pass or an everyday deluxe pass for access to the pool and the Fit Gym.

4. Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong
Okay… So you will have to book in for a staycation in Hong Kong if you want to use the pool here, as they don’t offer day passes, but we promise it’s worth it! The heated swimming pools at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong are available whether you want to swim laps, take a dip, or simply cool off. The hotel’s facility includes a 24-metre infinity-edge pool that’s perfect for a leisurely swim, a 20-meter lap pool, a plunge pool, and a harbourview whirlpool. The facility is also equipped with a cool technology in the forms of underwater speakers. Now who wants to get out of the pool if you can listen to music underwater?

5. Grand Hyatt Hong Kong
Another hotel known for its beautiful swimming facility is the Grand Hyatt. You won’t ever feel too cold inside this pool because the water is heated, allowing you to have a relaxing dip or workout no matter the season. Located on the hotel’s 11th floor, the 50-metre outdoor pool boasts a panoramic view of the Central skyline and can be accessed by guests as well as non-guests with a pass.

6. Kowloon Park Swimming Pool
One of the best public swimming pools in Hong Kong, the Kowloon Park Swimming Pool has almost everything. With a main pool, two training pools, a diving pool, toddler’s pool, and three leisure pools, there won’t be any excuses for not taking a plunge in one of them. Although Water World Ocean Park is just a few steps away, the pools at The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel Hong Kong may be more favourable for those who prefer a little more peace and privacy, away from the crowds.
