Did you know that steam locomotives used to pass by right on the doorstep of The Peninsula back in the 1920s? Paying tribute to this precious piece of history, the hotel has transformed itself into a nostalgic train station. Embark on an enchanted gastronomic voyage aboard The Peninsula Express at the Grand Salisbury Station, set up on the first floor. You can delight in The Verandah’s afternoon tea, or lunch and dinner buffets inside the signature vintage train carriage to make your experience extra memorable! Don’t forget to check out the the meticulously crafted train set and miniature Alpine village at the entry to The Verandah, too. Fun fact: the gingerbread entrance is made of real gingerbread!
