You can’t come to Canggu without sampling an Old Man’s Wednesday night. These are legendary on the island, and involve a happy hour, beer pong, and dancing to old school tunes! Expcet to bump into lots of people you know, and expect to get sweaty!

Pretty Poison
For the cool kids! Pretty Poison is a hotspot in the ‘Gu which is a bar slash skater park. Yup, in the middle of the venue is an old-school ’80s skate bowl, making this bar have a backyard kinda vibe. If you don’t ride boards, don’t worry – you can still go and watch, along with the hundreds of other people sipping a Bintang around the bowl. Plus they have epic DJ’s and live music, so it’s perfect to let loose!

La Favela
La Favela is another trendy Seminyak must for a night out! This bar and restaurant [located in the heart of the bustling town] looks like a long forgotten colonial building in the jungle, with vintage décor and plants everywhere. By day it is a restaurant, and by night it turns into a club, resembling that of your mate’s house party. Check their website for what’s on, as every weekend is a different event. La Favela is the kind of place where you go in at sunset, and come out at sunrise!

Single Fin
Single Fin is not just renowned for its stunning ocean views; it has one of the best Sunday sessions on the island. Nab yourself one of the booths [via their website] and get there just in time for sunset. Soon enough the venue will be full to the brim of people and as the music from the international DJs is cranked up, you will find yourself dancing to club and house classics until the wee hours of the morning!

Jenja
The Jenja Bar and Club is another popular haunt with expats, and on the menu is a line-up of old school hip-hop, RnB and funk. Located in the basement of the Town Square Suite, it has impressive interior of shimmering walls and a large dance floor perfect for two-stepping your way into a Sunday hangover!

Motel Mexicola
How does standing on the tables singing along to the Macarena sound to you?
