If you’re dreaming of a Parisian afternoon tea in Singapore, make a beeline for Angelina at Marina Bay Sands. The restaurant sits pretty in the middle of a walkway, directly under a skylight. It can get a little warm, but the lovely view and experience are worth it. Tables are placed close together with minimal space, so we’d recommend coming with no more than four people to ensure you can sit together.
The Royal Tea Set is a blend of sweet and savoury treats that’ll leave you satisfied. We loved the macarons most – they’re filled with a sublime caramel ganache that’s not overly sugary. The fresh chocolate was also a delectable treat: smooth and bittersweet.
Everyone raves about the signature Angelina hot chocolate, which you can add to the high tea set for $6 in place of tea. But honestly, we’d say give it a pass unless you’re a huge chocolate lover. It’s great for the ‘gram but becomes difficult to drink as it cools, with its thick, almost cloying melted chocolate consistency. P.S. the menu rotates quarterly, so you’ll always find new items to try!
