What is Sabercon 2026?

Hosted for the first time in Singapore, Sabercon 2026 is organised jointly by SMX Industries (a toy and collectible brand and events startup supporting the hobbyist communities) and Valis Academy (a local community dedicated to lightsaber choreography).
Prepare yourself as you’ll be immersed in the Outer Rim. From lightsaber choreography, performances, cosplay, and an open marketplace, there’s something available for every traveller. And if you really want to get yourself in the mood? Score Sabercon-exclusive lightsaber replicas, including the one used by Luke Skywalker in Return of the Jedi!
A full day of free events

The one brilliant thing about Sabercon 2026 is the whole event is completely free to enter! And there’s no shortage of free things to do while you’re there either. Expect an amazingly robust event environment with plenty of activities to keep you occupied. The open marketplace is free for all to roam, with many vendors to patronise. Think leather work, prop-making, and tabletop gaming vendors! There will also be continuous lightsaber demonstrations, pop-up combat, and trials happening on the main floor all day long.
Ticketed workshops to join

If you’re looking to make the most of your experience, we recommend taking a look at the array of workshops you can participate in. The event space will be split into different sections. Beyond the marketplace, there’s The Forge, The Academy, and the Sector 65 Outpost.
At The Forge, you can treat yourself to the ultimate lightsaber lover’s experience and build your very own saber. From the emitters, grips, and pommels – you’ll get to customise your very own modular saber from a curated collection of premium materials. And don’t worry if you don’t have any engineering or piloting experience! You’ll be guided by master artisans in the assembly process.
The Academy is where your training begins. Perfect for ages 10 and above, aspiring duelists will get a hands-on introductory course to basic flourishes, stances, and handling techniques in saber choreography. Hosted by the team behind Valis Academy, they’ll even provide the saber!
Finally, we get to the Sector 65 Outpost. This lively interactive LARP experience puts you into Sector 65, a lawless trade corridor where smugglers, mercenaries, information brokers, and drifters gather. You, a bounty hunter, are on a mission. Track bounties, interact with the cast of NPCs, and craft your own story.
For a free event, we think Sabercon 2026 is one to add to your calendar!
