Frequently Asked Questions
When do Christmas markets happen in Singapore?
Most Christmas markets and pop-ups in Singapore begin in November and run through to late December (and some even into early January). Tip: it's best to start your Christmas shopping early to beat the crowds!
Do I need to buy tickets or register to attend Christmas markets?
It depends on the market. Most are free to enter as part of the mall or outdoor event, while others might require ticketed entry or bookings, especially if there are workshops or limited-capacity zones.
Are Christmas markets in Singapore kid-friendly?
Yes! Many are designed for families to enjoy the festivities, with activities like workshops, Santa appearances, snowfall installations, and kid-friendly treats.
What should I bring to Christmas markets in Singapore?
Most vendors will support card or QR-code payments, but always bring cash in case. It's handy to have an umbrella for outdoor markets as well, especially if the weather report shows rain. To keep things eco-friendly, bring a tote bag to carry all your purchases.
When is the best time to visit Christmas markets in Singapore?
They tend to get busy during evenings and weekends in the peak festive December weeks. For a less crowded experience, go during weekday afternoons or arrive as early as possible, and visit earlier in the market’s run before the final weekend rush.
