1. Experience the magic of Christmas Wonderland
Just like 2020, Christmas Wonderland takes on a whole new look this year. The revamped edition brings the beauty of Christmas into your home, with enchanting events for the entire family. This digital world will feature interactive activities and games, as well as merry performances to get you in the mood for a holly jolly holiday. You can also shop your heart out for festive gifts without sweating your way through the crowd. Those who want to soak in the festive vibes can still do so at the Walk of Lights (4 – 27 Dec) with luminarie installations that you can view on a self-guided tour ($5 per ticket).

2. Make merry at Universal Studios Singapore
For a joyous year-end celebration, head to the theme park and meet all your fave characters. The Merry Minions of Christmas will be out and about, alongside Sesame Street friends, Madagascar characters, Shrek and Princess Fiona. Plus, the streets of New York will glitter with lights and interactive movie sets such as a hot air balloon and a topsy turvy Christmas house. Fun festive twists on food are also available at eateries, and you can try your hand at carnival games to win colourful souvenirs.

3. Hop on board the Orient Express
The iconic train comes to town for a pop-up this Yuletide season, making Singapore the first country outside France to host a showcase featuring the mysterious and magnificent Orient Express. Expect to see original train carriages, historical artefacts, glimpses of international stopovers and scenic cities on the train’s route, and a merch corner for collectors’ items. Plus, check out the escape room experience, a replica restaurant car and a cafe.

4. Dine under the stars
Delve into a whimsical wonderland at Capitol Singapore and Chijmes, as both places get inspiration from The Nutcracker for festive magic. Capitol Singapore’s Outdoor Plaza will be transformed into a Land of Snowflakes with Nutcracker soldiers, a 3D trick eye art installation, snowfall every evening and an 8m-tall singing tree. For a unique dining experience, pop by the beautiful bubble domes (they’re air-conditioned!) at the outdoor plaza and Chijmes Lawn. It’s all about romantic vibes under the stars. Oh, and don’t forget to catch the light and music show with Nutcracker-themed Christmas scenes projected on the facade of Chijmes Hall. 5. Jingle all the way to Changi
Changi Airport isn’t just a place you visit when you’re travelling. It’s all about fabulous fun this festive season, with plenty of enchanting happenings. Think dinosaur experiences, tokidoki-themed activities, glamping stays, craft workshops, weekend festive markets and loads more. You’ll get up close to majestic prehistoric creatures, admire beautiful Christmas lights and decorated trees, embark on a go-kart race, have a ‘snow holiday’ without leaving the country, and even enjoy a staycation or glamping picnic at Jewel Changi Airport. 6. Explore the underwater world
With refreshed experiences, S.E.A. Aquarium offers plenty to explore over the festive season. Highlights include the open ocean habitat, unique ocean diversity and new photo spots including a stunning Christmas tree made from upcycled crate boxes. Don’t forget to spot the ‘snowflake’ at five habitats, snap photos of the lightboxes and answer some questions to get an exclusive recyclable tote bag on the Gift of Knowledge trail!

7. Admire gorgeous blooms at Gardens by the Bay
We’ve got loads of Christmas events at Gardens by the Bay happening this festive season. But the highlight has to be this year’s Poinsettia Wishes. Since a European holiday isn’t in the cards for us, why not head to the Flower Dome and enjoy the sights? You’ll experience a reimagined Gouda City Hall, an iconic landmark in the Netherlands, complete with luminarie light installations, a wishing well, festive plants and real Christmas trees. Plus, look forward to Nordic Santa meet and greets (12 – 13 Dec) and a traditional Swedish Lucia Procession (13 Dec). Other Xmas programmes include festive meet and greets, pipe band performances and more.

8. Get your craft on!
We’ve got no lack of craft workshops in town, and most of them are going the festive route this season. Check out Resin Play to make your own resin art piece, or head to Bynd Artisan for merry workshops that’ll have you creating your own holiday wreath in collaboration with Sparrow Studio Flowers.
9. Get festive at Sentosa Fair
Mingle and make merry at this fair, which features a different curation of vendors each week from now till December. From gifts and Irish-themed festive events to made in Singapore goodies and sustainable products, there’s plenty to discover.

10. Go gift shopping
Year-end shopping has traditionally been a marathon of epic proportions. There’s no reason why 2020 should be any different! 11. Hit the ice
