How about doing some good this weekend? Giving Week by the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) is all about inspiring businesses, communities, non-profits and people to come together and share their time and talent for a good cause. As a part of this initiative, Club Street and Ann Siang Hill are morphing into The Giving Street. Think of it as a carnival complete with music, parkour bits, giant Jenga sesh, crafting jewellery, circus acts and more – all supporting non-profits, ground-up movements and social enterprises. Plus, Singapore Sports Hub is joining in with a fun community play day all weekend.

It’s not December without ZoukOut. That dance music festival by the beach everyone’s knows and loves is back. This insane 16-hour blowout starts off at 4 pm with some 80s and 90s music at the Mambo Jambo Beach Party that’s impossible for you to resist the fun. By 7 pm, the main stage comes alive with the likes of Chivers, Hong, Goldfish & Blink, Kshmr Ghetto & Nash D and others.

Gin-onnoisseurs, this one’s for y’all. Singapore’s favourite gin and tonic fiesta is back with a fantastic lineup. Christmas Event: Wander about in Wonderland
Everyone’s favourite Christmas tradition is back – make that festive pilgrimage to Gardens by the Bay for the unmissable Christmas Wonderland that opens this weekend. It’s magical like always complete with a mirror maze, Santa’s grotto (apparently it’s Asia’s largest), a skating rink, tons of great food, festival market, carnival games, a special Christmas Rhapsody, shows by illusionist Rob Lake and a lot more. Event: Dive into a subculture
They’re calling it Asia’s first-of-its-kind street culture convention and you bet it’s hard to ignore. Over this weekend, explore street culture through elements art, fashion, tattoo and toys. At Culture Cartel, expect to see 100 odd brands and artists celebrating the unique and unconventional branches of street culture. Plus, we hear there will be beatboxing and custom-design workshops, graffiti showcases, tattoo pop-ups and even an indoor bike circuit. What what!

Party: Some Caribbean fun in the tropics

Christmas Event: A light up to remember
Take a breather from Christmas shopping and soak in the pretty lights at Orchard Road. The Disney themed light-up is fab enough to even make Scrooge smile. While you’re there, head down to The Great Christmas Village to soak in some yuletide vibes. Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza has morphed into a playground with amusement rides for the kids, live performances from local acts like Sugarlove, The Common People and Unified this weekend as well as truckloads of scrumptious food at the Timbre X Food Village & Bar.
