Hailed as one of Los Angeles’ most cutting-edge exports is Low End Theory, a famed hip-hop and bass-centric series that’s boosted the careers of the likes of Nosaj Thing, Flying Lotus and Tokimonsta since 2006. The brains behind it all? The man they call Daddy Kev, who finally makes his debut in Singapore alongside turntablist D-Styles, and an ensemble of local champs including Kiat, Darren Dubwise, KoFlow, Vandetta and Intriguant.

French Kiwi Juice: 13 September at Kilo Lounge
Ask anyone who’s one of the best live DJ-producers they’ve seen perform in Singapore, and chances are this French virtuoso will be on top of their lists. French Kiwi Juice isn’t just a DJ, but enhances his shows with live guitars, keyboards, saxophones and vocals – altogether, it’s a sunny nu-disco sound that’ll turn any frown upside-down.

Another respected friend of the scene returns to our shores; Lefto from Belgium is back with Singapore’s own Darker Than Wax label and crew for a night of rarities and boogies. A well-known tastemaker and crate-digger, Lefto will drop anything from hip-hop to jazz, and even exotic world music that’ll turn this party into a cosmopolitan affair.

Sebastian Ingrosso: 22 September at Zouk Singapore
Few EDM parties in Singapore go as ‘epic’ as this. Headlining the Epic series in Zouk is none other than an ex-ambassador of the famed Swedish House Mafia, Sebastian Ingrosso. While he won’t be coming with his former tourmate, Axwell, the industry giant is still a force to be reckoned with, with iridescent melodies and gigantic drops that will rumble the very foundations of Zouk.
EP!C presents Ingrosso, 22 September, Zouk Singapore, 3C River Valley Road, The Cannery, Singapore 179022, p. 6738 2988. $35 (for ladies), $45 (for men).
Ten Walls: 29 September at Zouk Singapore
In spite of the notoriety this Lithuanian producer garnered from homophobic comments he made in 2015, there’s no denying the anthemic quality of his deep house track, “Walking With Elephants”. He’s paid the price for his mistake over the years, but is beginning to turn over a new leaf that’s gradually gotten him bookings in the industry. Would you give him a second chance?
Soulfeed presents Ten Walls, 29 September, Zouk Singapore, 3C River Valley Road, The Cannery, Singapore 179022, p. 6738 2988. $35 (for ladies), $45 (for men).
Plastik Dreams feat. Nakadia: 30 September at TBA
No need to pinch yourselves; this here is real. The Plastik Dreams series from The Council is back for its third edition, having previously popping up in a hidden underground bar and a converted dance studio in the arts district. As expected, the location of this event is still a secret, but we can tell you that it’ll be headlined by Thailand’s Nakadia, who recently got signed to Sven Vath’s Cocoon Records – a triumph for the regional scene.
Plastik Dreams feat. Nakadia, 30 September, TBA. $45 (second-release), $60 at door.
After Dark’s 4th Anniversary with Loco Dice: 30 September at Kilo Lounge
