The Drunken Pot offers an interactive and fun hot pot experience like no other in the heart of Causeway Bay
From fine dining to the most sinful Hong Kong street food, we want to eat the best treats this city has to offer. And if you are wondering where to eat in Causeway Bay, hit up one of our favourite hot pot restaurants – The Drunken Pot – where delicious flavours are served alongside fabulous art and stunning views of the harbour. Co-founder Vivien Shek, along with her passionate team, definitely left our taste buds hopelessly seduced with a heavenly combination of assorted flavours and innovative presentation.
The atmosphere of The Drunken Pot
With bold décor and killer views of Hong Kong harbour, diners at The Drunken Pot enjoy an open kitchen that brings the aromatic fragrances and flavours of the food to life. Completing the full sensory tour, guests can appreciate artwork from renowned local artist Ben Pickering, which add colour and character to the dining experience. It’s a perfect communal setting where foodies can cook, chat and enjoy!
Signature Dishes
What makes The Drunken Pot different is the array of unique hot pot additions that can be selected. First to arrive was the premium sliced Angus beef, followed by hand-made cuttlefish balls that were shaped to look like penguins – we love the cute factor here. But our vote for most delicious goes to the beautifully wrapped fortune bags that are packed with generous amounts of seasonal black truffle and squid ink.

After you have chosen how to pimp your hot pot, you can indulge in the 5-in-1 hot pot feast! The five broths are: Sichuan-style numbingly spicy soup; nourishing papaya soup; traditional beef brisket in clear broth; Boston lobster in tomato soup; and creamy Teochew-style satay soup – inspired by Ms Shek’s hometown. We really enjoyed experimenting with all the different broths on offer here, but the overall winner was the Sichuan-style spicy soup, thanks to its intense flavour: #tonguetingling.

Will we be back?
We love the fact that The Drunken Pot selects premium meat cuts and seafood, allowing them to shine without additives. A cool new concept, with a fresh and modern atmosphere, The Drunken Pot is definitely here to stay!
