At Milu Thai, you’ll find well-loved Thai dishes reimagined in the most scrumptious ways, like the must-try Volcanic Ribs. With ribs cleverly stacked to form a ‘bond fire’, the highly ‘grammable plate is generously seasoned with chillies and chives. Other signature items we loved include the Jumbo Curry and Grill Chicken On Fire.

2. Aroy Khao Man Gai

The best way to end a shopping trip at the Ladies’ Market is with a wholesome meal at Aroy Khao Man Gai. Serving authentic Thai street food, the restaurant boasts a mouth-watering menu that pairs well with ice cold beer. We especially loved the Curry with Deep-fried Soft Shell Crab in Bread and the Thai chicken rice.

3. Champak Restaurant by Atum

Feast your eyes on the beautiful interiors of Champak; every corner doubles as a gorgeous backdrop for an intimate selfie or a birthday group photo. The floral themed eatery is also known for the stunning plating of their food. When you’re done taking a photo or two for the gram, dig into the fragrant Beef Massaman Curry and Crab Meat or the vibrant Pineapple Butterfly Pea Fried Rice – they taste just as good as they look, if not better!

4. Cambo Thai

A staple among Thai restaurants in Hong Kong, Cambo Thai is still going strong after years of serving hungry eaters in the city. You’ll often see groups of friends and families catching up over liberal servings of Baked Rice in a Pineapple and Duck with Soup Noodle in Thai Style. Oh, and don’t forget to give its grill selection a try! We’ve heard good things about the Charcoal Grilled Big Eye Fish in Thai style, which is also ideal for sharing.

5. Mini Bangkok Seafood and Grill

Located in the heart of Kowloong City, where Hong Kong’s Thai community is known to frequent, you know you’re getting the good stuff when dining at Mini Bangkok Seafood and Grill. This establishment serves a menu of unpretentious classics, from Pad Thai with Shrimp to Thai Fried Rice with Pork Cheek to Spicy Tom Yum Soup with King Shrimp. What’s more, Mini Bangkok’s incredible value-for-money items always make us feel better about splurging on luxurious dishes like the Barbecued Threadfin with Salt and Minced Pork Lettuce Wraps.

6. Mue Mue

Mue Mue is a relatively new addition to the Hong Kong Thai food scene. Having opened its doors back in 2023, the restaurant has taken the city by storm and became one of our go-tos whenever our pad Thai craving strikes. Aside from noodles, we’re also die-hard fans for their curries. Whether you choose the Thai Green Curry with Wagyu Beef Cheek, Thai Curry Chicken, or Thai Curry Giant River Prawn, you’re guaranteed a good time and a full belly!
In addition to its a la carte offerings, Mue Mue also does a mean brunch that made our list of the best brunches in Hong Kong.

7. Asok Thai Garden

Tucked away along Ashley Road in Tsim Sha Tsui is Asok Thai Garden. Serving a menu of fusion delicacies, the restaurant stays true to traditional Thai flavours. We’ll be coming back for the Scrambled Egg Curry with Soft Shell Crab and the Northern Thai Crab Curry Udon. If you’re visiting with a large group, we highly recommend the aromatic Banana Leaf Baked Whole Fish to share. Asok also offers a wallet-friendly lunch set that includes a main and a drink at fair prices.

8. Add Some Thai Restaurant

Not-so-hidden in the dining hot spot, Camel Paint Building, Add Some Thai Restaurant is a popular destination for local gourmands. Available at affordable prices, Add Some Thai serves a wide range of classic dishes ideal for sharing. The Signature Pork Spare RIbs is a must-try, while the Fried Rice with Pineapple and Tom Yum Seafood are easy crowd-pleasers. Oh, and don’t forget to finish off on a sweet note with the Thai Western Dessert Platter!
