Looking for the best bars in Sanur? From beachfront cocktails to dancing to live music, these are the top nightlife spots in Bali’s relaxed seaside neighbourhood.
Sanur may not be the first name that comes to mind when you think of nightlife in Bali. This isn’t the place for party animals – and TBH, that’s exactly why us Sanur residents love it. You won’t find pumping beach clubs, all-night parties, or fancy speakeasy lounges where you have to queue to get in. Instead, nightlife in Sanur is all about laid-back cocktails, buckets of Indonesia’s famous Bintang beer, low-lit sports bars, and live bands that’ll get you dancing ‘til midnight. Here’s a short and sweet list of the best bars in Sanur, for a night out that’s more about having drinks with friends and less about EDM parties.
Why trust this guide
I’m Vici, and as a Sanur local since 2006, I know all the best new bars and long-time local favourite nightlife venues in the neighbourhood. I’ve narrowed this list down to the eastern side of the neighbourhood, where most travellers stay. These bars are either beachfront, easily accessible on foot, or just a short Gojek ride from Sanur’s top hotels. I’ve personally tried, tested and returned to all of them, of course.

My top 5 bars in Sanur
1. Casablanca
A legendary Sanur nightlife spot for live bands, late-night dancing, pool tables, and lively drinks.

If there’s one venue that has become synonymous with Sanur nightlife, it’s Casablanca. A long-standing institution, this lively bar has been entertaining locals, expats, and visitors for years, and remains one of the go-to places when you’re in the mood for high-energy live bands and dancing – yes, this is one of the only Sanur bars with an actual dance floor!
Casablanca is where the volume goes up, the lights get lower, and strangers become friends by the end of the night. The music changes every evening, covering everything from classic rock and pop hits to crowd-pleasing sing-alongs. Not in the mood for dancing? Don’t worry, there are pool tables and plenty of seating, whether you’re coming with a group or flying solo.
Best for: Live bands, late-night dancing, drinks with friends.
Good to know: The atmosphere gets livelier later in the evening, especially after 9pm when the bands start playing and the dance floor fills up.
Local tip: Casablanca is one of just a handful of Sanur bars that open past midnight.
Address: Jl Danau Tamblingan No. 120, Sanur.
Opening hours: Monday to Saturday, from 5pm.
2. Tree Bar
A beachfront Sanur cocktail bar for sunset drinks, romantic date nights, and ocean-view cocktails.

For a romantic date night, head to Tree Bar at Maya Sanur Resort & Spa. This beachfront cocktail bar in Sanur is where I’d go when I want to dress up a little, order a craft cocktail, and watch the sky change colour over the ocean. The atmosphere here is relaxed yet refined, with comfortable seating, a sea breeze, and a drinks menu designed for slow-sipping into the evening.
Best for: Sunset cocktails by the beach, date nights, more upscale vibes where you can dress up.
Good to know: Happy Hour is from 5pm to 7pm, which just so happens to align with sunset.
Local tip: Arrive just before sunset and request a seat facing the beach. With a cocktail in hand and the ocean in front of you, this is one of the most romantic bars in Sanur.
Address: Maya Sanur Resort & Spa, Jl Danau Tamblingan No. 89M, Sanur.
Opening hours: Daily, 7am – 10pm.
3. Tamba Tea Room & Listening Bar (NEW in 2026)
A stylish Sanur listening bar serving Japanese-inspired cocktails, vinyl music, and evening drinks.

Tucked beside Junsei, a brand-new Japanese restaurant in Sanur, Tamba offers something different to the neighbourhood. Part listening bar, part cocktail destination, Tamba brings a more contemporary edge to Sanur’s nightlife scene.
The concept takes inspiration from Japanese listening bars, pairing a carefully curated vinyl soundtrack with creative cocktails in an intimate, low-lit space. While the indoor listening lounge is small, there’s plenty of seating outside if you’re coming for drinks.
It’s effortlessly sophisticated, making it perfect for date nights, pre- and post-dinner cocktails, or a slow evening spent discovering new music.
Best for: Vinyl music and Japanese-inspired cocktails.
Good to know: Tamba is a matcha tea room by day, and a cocktail and vinyl lounge by night.
Local tip: Pre-game with charcoal-grilled yakitori at its sister restaurant next door, before finishing with Japanese cocktails at Tamba.
Address: Jl Danau Tamblingan No. 49, Sanur.
Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday, from 10am.
4. Bloom After Dark (NEW in 2026)
A unique alcohol-free Sanur bar with vinyl DJs, creative mocktails, retro games, and board games.

I found Bloom After Dark by accident, after having dinner at Sindhu Night Market. There was a DJ spinning behind the glass window who instantly drew me in. When I stepped inside, I knew I was spending the rest of the night there!
For starters, the walls are covered with vinyl records spanning various genres. Then there’s the drinks menu, which is so creative you’d never realise all of them are non-alcoholic! But as a self-proclaimed millennial nerd, what really hooked me was the old-school Nintendo with the retro pixelated Super Mario Bros. All of this, and that’s before I mention the collection of board games.
This is one cool after dark spot in Sanur for game nights and music with friends.
Best for: Vinyl DJ sets, sober nights out, street-side dancing, multiplayer video games, and board games.
Good to know: This is a small family-friendly bar, serving non-alcoholic mocktails only.
Local tip: You can listen to the DJ spinning all night, or there are record players with headphones on the tables if you find a vinyl you like from the wall display.
Address: Jl Danau Toba No. 12, Sanur.
Opening hours: Thursday to Saturday, from 7pm.
5. Lola’s Craft Beer House
A relaxed Sanur craft beer bar with rotating taps, international brews, and laid-back social vibes.

Lola’s Craft Beer House is a Sanur favourite for perfectly poured beer on tap. This casual and welcoming bar offers a rotating selection of Indonesian and international craft beers in a cosy setting. Unlike the fancy resort bars, Lola’s has a more laid-back neighbourhood feel where conversations flow easily. The staff are passionate about what they’re serving, and you might end up discovering your new favourite brew by simply asking for a recommendation.
Best for: Craft beer lovers, casual date nights, and laid-back group hangouts.
Good to know: The beer selection changes regularly, so there’s often something new to discover with each visit.
Local tip: Don’t be afraid to ask the team for recommendations. They know their beers well and can help you find a style that suits your taste.
Address: Jl Danau Tamblingan No. 148, Sanur.
Opening hours: Daily, from 12pm.
