From chilli crab to Indonesian claypot curry crab, the Festival of Crab at Hotel Jen Tanglin will be a hit with seafood-lovers in Singapore
Famous for its fiery Singapore chilli crab and aromatic black pepper crab, Ah Hoi’s Kitchen at Hotel Jen Tanglin is a firm favourite among seafood lovers in Singapore. And if you have no qualms getting your hands dirty digging into these coveted crustaceans, you’ll be happy to know that the alfresco dining restaurant, also known for its authentic Singaporean dishes, will be expanding its repertoire of crab dishes for its Festival of Crab available ’til 31 July.
On the crab-tastic menu, you’ll find classics like chilli as well as black pepper crab, along with more unconventional crab dishes like glass noodles and Chinese wine crab. If you can’t get enough of salted egg, get messy with the salted egg and crispy yam crab which features a generous amount of creamy golden goodness along with crispy yam sticks. Crab lovers who prefer a less-is-more approach can opt instead for the butter and garlic crab – a simpler dish that pairs sweet Sri Lankan crab with cloves or garlic and butter.
With 10 crab dishes on the menu, the Festival of Crab is bound to please even the most finicky connoisseurs of crab. We suggest you don’t wear white.
Festival of Crab, Ah Hoi’s Kitchen, Hotel Jen Tanglin, Level 4. p. 6831 4373. Open 12pm-2.30pm, 6.30pm-10pm.
