3. Sky Greens
As its moniker suggests, the high-tech farm grows greens on shelves of up to nine metres. They’re delivered to supermarkets like NTUC FairPrice, so you can have access to fresh veggies with a low carbon footprint and longer shelf-life. The biz also organises 60-minute farm tours if you’re keen on learning about the history of agriculture and the future of farming.

4. Comcrop
Sitting atop a rooftop in Woodlands is Comcrop, Singapore’s first in commercial rooftop farming. Here’s where you’ll find rows and rows of basil, leafy greens, mint, and more. Pesticide-free herbs and veggies grown in Singapore – what’s not to love? Oh, and the team also bottles their own pesto, which we have to say is pretty delicious.

5. Citizen Box
Citizen Box (an Edible Garden City initiative) is a community of farmers with different systems of growing for the good of the community. It’s all about sustainable living, offering local, fresh, tasty and nutritious produce. 6. Bollywood Veggies

7. The Good Garden
Start ‘em young! The Good Garden is a kids’ urban food garden initiative by Cultivate Central for The Artground (the super cool art space for little ones at Goodman Arts Centre). There’s a worm farm and composting system, upcycled flower pots, a terrace garden, vertical ecosystems, an urban gardening shop, a food garden and more. Beyond urban gardening, it also engages kids in science, art and design to get inspiration from nature.
