1880
If you’re looking for conversations and connections, this club is it, thanks to its buzzy schedule of events of parties, exhibits and secret suppers. We even hosted our Singapore 101 session in this gorgeous space. Promising to bring together creators and explorers, it occupies 22,000 square feet in central Robertson Quay with spaces made for mixing and mingling. Everything you need to live the good life is found here. Think stellar restaurants, a spa and salon (offering everything from hot shaves to deep tissue rubdowns), a yoga and pilates studio, a cocktail bar and even a co-working space and private dining room.

Straits Clan

Straits Clan took over the former New Majestic Hotel on Bukit Pasoh in March 2018. It aims to replicate the clan-style relationships rooted in Singapore’s early history, by creating a supportive space for today’s movers and shakers. Befitting its magnificent, old-world space, the four-storey club will be an opulent home away from home. On the first floor, you’ll find an all-day tea room and bar serving Eastern brews and healthy bowls, with a members’ dining room located here. Head up to the second floor’s main restaurant to be transported to an age of classic cocktails or to the breezy courtyard for fresh air and food within elegant surrounds. Leisure awaits in the entertainment room (with an arcade, mini disco, karaoke rooms), while wellness, in the form of a gym and spa, is found on the third storey. Work-wise, you’re free to squeeze in a meeting or two in the co-working space or meet fellow members in the gorgeous attic space.

Raffles Town Club
This one’s a bit more traditional. One of the most impressive social clubs in Singapore has got to be Raffles Town Club. Tucked away in Bukit Timah, the architectural masterpiece’s facilities are second to none, with a 128-seat American-style theatre, video and wellness room, spa, and even a car grooming centre. You’ll be spoilt for choice with wining and dining too, as it’s home to a modern bistro, a Chinese restaurant and even a bar furnished in the style of an old English reading room.

Goh Loo Club
Following a $3.8 million renovation, the Goh Loo Club is back with a catch – its membership is capped at 250 people! Talk about exclusive. However, it has plans to grow its club and space in order to hold more activities, food and beverage events, as well as lifestyle, arts and culture partners. This revived club sits atop a three-level shophouse that fuses the building’s original elements with modern features and is decorated with a mural of its late members.
