Nestled within Fort Canning Park, this charming spot features Victorian-style interiors with floral touches, offering a serene dining escape from the hustle of the city. Note: getting here involves a climb with stairs and some outdoor walking, but it’s all part of the experience.
On the menu, you’ll find brunch classics like the big breakfast ($28) and rosti ($23). I went for the smoked salmon miso benedict ($24), which was beautifully cooked and well-balanced in flavour. The housemade truffle mushroom soup ($15) was rich and fragrant with an earthy depth that truffle lovers will appreciate.
For drinks, I’d recommend the speciality: La Vie en Rose ($9.90), a refreshing blend of jasmine tea, rose syrup and lychee that’s lightly sweet and perfectly harmonious. If you’re after a brunch date with aesthetic photo spots, Le Jardin is well worth a visit.

Newly opened at Bugis+, Bloom & Boom is an aesthetic cafe serving tea, dessert, and coffee in a space that feels straight out of Seoul’s Seongsu. The concept shifts through the day, from a high tea menu to dinner and eventually a bar, making it a versatile hangout spot.
I visited on a weekday afternoon and sampled items from the high tea menu – it was a small and concise menu so you won’t have a difficult time choosing. Here, portions lean on the smaller side for the price. The mixed berry yogurt ($18) was a tad underwhelming and didn’t quite justify the cost (even the smallest acai bowls elsewhere offer more).
I tried the strawberry guava jasmine tea ($11.90) while my companion had the green apple americano ($8.50). Refreshing and creatively mixed, they were our highlights. If anything, come for the unique drinks and stay for the photo ops because the space delivers on vibes. While it’s a cute spot, there are arguably better-value options around Bugis, so it comes down to whether you’re happy to splurge a little for the aesthetics.

We may live in a year-round summer, but you can experience a touch of autumn in Singapore at Cafe Kreams. Well, it’s more of the vibes than the actual temperature. The space feels dreamy and transportive, almost like stepping into a cafe in Seoul.
I was surprised to find the place packed, with many working on their laptops and iPads, making it feel like a work-friendly cafe on weekday afternoons. For food, the everyday set starting from $36.80 is worth ordering as it comes with a main, side, dessert and beverage each.
For drinks, I tried the yuzu chamomile hot tea ($10), while my companion had the einspanner ($10). Both fell a little flat in flavour and tasted diluted. The real highlight was the pistachio matcha-misu ($18.80, cake set with a drink). It was rich, creamy and layered beautifully with the right balance of matcha intensity and pistachio crunch in between. Overall, I’d say come for the aesthetic and stay for the cakes.

At first glance, you might think it’s just another matcha spot. But beyond the usual, Studio Frond gets creative with flavours like pink coconut, miso butterscotch and salted hotcake.
Its most popular drink worth ordering? The miso butterscotch house sauce with matcha (from $8), a sweet, savoury combo that works. These folks also offer two types of matcha profiles: Frond #01 sourced from Zhejiang province, with bold and seaweed-tasting notes; and Frond #02 from Uji, Kyoto, which leans more nutty and savoury.
For hojicha lovers, there’s Frond #3 from Fukuoka, light toasty and comforting. The botanical takeaway holder starts from $15 with an additional $3 per stem. Each arrangement includes a base, focal and accent bloom, but it’s best to check the website before heading down. Tip: Studio Frond is only open on weekends, so expect a crowd and visit early.

The restaurant combines floral aesthetics with all-natural ingredients, bringing an Asian fusion menu from salads to meats to seafood. These folks are all about clean eating, so don’t expect greasy or processed food on the menu. There’s even an on-site florist where you can buy a stalk or even customise a bouquet, perfect for special occasions.
With the extensive menu, you’ll need a bit of time to place your order. After our team’s visit, here are the highlights we’d recommend: the refreshing and savoury cured salmon ($28), the signature honey-roasted pumpkin salad ($34) and the MBS 6/7 wagyu steak ($89).
