Tablescape offers a festive four-course version of its rotating set lunch with cold and hot starter options (think 62-degree egg with brie fondue and pumpkin soup), main courses such as pork belly roulade and seabass gratin, and log cake or an apple tartlet for dessert. Inspired by a crackling Christmas fireplace, both the smoked duck starter and the risotto with smoked beetroot have elements of an aromatic smokiness.
Serving up a “surf and turf” menu, the Christmas Eve set dinner is filled with celebrated European Christmas dishes such as eel, halibut, parmigiana or beef starters, followed by oven-baked line caught fish, prime rib and roasted turkey. Plus, Tablescape’s dessert trolley will be filled with seasonal confections like log, fruit and apple cakes. ’Tis the season to feast with a five-course set menu by Executive Chef Nicky Ng, which features exquisite Cantonese highlights with a festive twist. The appetiser comes in a platter, featuring the triple threat of truffle with sesame mayonnaise prawn, creamy pomelo lobster clam and Mitzo’s fan favourite signature roasted pork belly. Next, slurp down the pumpkin and scallop soup (served with a dollop of caviar, no less) before moving on to the main course of wagyu beef cheek that’s cooked to buttery perfection. The black pepper turkey fried rice rounds off the savouries with the delicious wok hei aroma.
Ready for dessert? Taste the refreshing coffee and coconut granita with caramel jelly, served with a custard sesame pancake. This well-balanced finisher has just the right hint of bitterness (from the coffee flavour) and savouriness (from the pancake) so that it’s not overwhelmingly sweet, which also means that you have the excuse to polish off every bit of this delightful treat.
