Red Ryder at Junior
Speakeasy and pop-up bar, Junior wowed us with the launch of its new ski lodge-inspired concept, Petite Chalet last month. Recreating a ski cabin from the 70s, it’s no surprise that the bar is reeling in the festivities with coloured lights, stockings, merry trimmings and a special Christmas cocktail menu. Five new cocktails sparkle here but we’ve got our eyes set on the Red Ryder ($25++). Packed with a refreshing mix of pine and citrus flavours from Widges Gin, gentian alpine liqueur and a familiar aroma of lemon and rosemary, this is no ordinary cranberry juice.
Junior, cocktails are available till 1 January 2020; 43 Tanjong Pagar Road, Singapore 088464 (Direct entrance in the alley on Cook Street.)
Sneaky Santa at Avenue Lounge
With craft cocktails, karaoke, mini bowling alleys, vintage arcade games and even a pool table, Avenue Lounge has everything you’ll need for a great night out. This hidden gem located right below Marquee Singapore has crafted Sneaky Santa ($22), a naughty concoction of Bulleit bourbon, house-made spiced wine, lemon juice, sweet and minty flavours from creme de cacao and creme de menthe liqueur and topped with egg white.
Avenue Lounge, cocktails are available all December; Basement 3, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands entrance via level 1, behind Sands Theatre Bus Stop, 2 Bayfront Avenue, Singapore 018972
Yuletide Reviver at Oxwell & Co
Wash down the roast and Yorkshire pudding at Oxwell & Co with Yuletide Reviver ($19). No need for dessert – this festive tipple will revive your meal quite literally thanks to espresso with bourbon whiskey, Cherry Heering Liqueur, zesty orange peel and rich Amarena cherry. We foresee cheery moods all ‘round the table!
Oxwell & Co, 5 Ann Siang Rd, Singapore 069688
Eggnog Martini at Lavo Italian Restaurant And Rooftop Bar
Take advantage of Singapore’s cool and breezy weather (this is as good as it gets for us!) and make yourself comfy at Lavo’s alfresco area. Sip on Eggnog Martini ($18++): A blend of the usual suspects you’ll find in this traditional holiday drink, spiked with dark rum. Mmm… delish.
Lavo Italian Restaurant And Rooftop Bar, cocktail is available from 22–25 December; The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, 10 Bayfront Ave, Tower 1, Singapore 018956
Santa’s Roots at Mitzo Restaurant and Bar
Accompany Mitzo’s fab five-course Christmas dinner with Santa’s Roots ($18++), a festive cocktail expertly put together by Head Bartender Azlam, featuring a gorgeous presentation and an equally impressive taste profile – expect a ginseng and cinnamon-infused bourbon concoction topped with egg white and pinot noir foam.
Mitzo Restaurant and Bar, cocktail is available till 1 January 2020; Level 4, Grand Park Orchard, 270 Orchard Rd, Singapore 238857
Merry Mansion at TXA Pintxo Bar
Basque restaurant TXA Pintxo Bar is pairing its easy sharing platters with a refreshing and fruity number. Basque in Merry Mansion ($14++) – think tequila (oh yes!) and orange liquor stirred with lime mix and cranberry juices and coconut puree. Alternatively, if you want to hold on the alcohol, you can opt for Snowflakes ($8++) a mocktail featuring cranberry and lime juice with coconut puree, sans the tequila.
TXA Pintxo Bar, cocktail and mocktail is available from 14-25 December; The Alkaff Mansion, 10 Telok Blangah Green, Singapore 109178
Aged Cosmo at Racines
Sofitel Singapore City Centre’s Racines channels French haute couture for a tailor-made experience. There’s not one or two but a whopping 12 cocktails for you to pair your festive meal with. We are particularly drawn to the Aged Cosmo ($22++) – Botanist gin, Cointreau, cranberry and lemon juice stirred with fragrant kaffir lime leaf and lemongrass that has been aged in a bamboo stem for 24 hours.
Racines, 5th floor Sofitel Singapore City Centre, 9 Wallich St, Singapore 078885
Yuletide Cheer at Bar Canary
Behold the Yuletide Cheer at Bar Canary. This potent tipple ($16++) is stirred with Remy Martin VSOP, Benedictine D.O.M. and a splash of red wine balanced with orange bitters, maple syrup and lime juice. Hey, it is the festive season so bring it, we say!
Bar Canary, cocktail is available till 1 January 2020; Level 4, Grand Park Orchard, 270 Orchard Rd, Singapore 238857
