Downton Abbey fans, rejoice! The global television phenomenon will be debuting its fully-immersive exhibition, showcasing costumes, sets and never-before-seen footage, at Marina Bay Sands this June.
Still can’t get over the season finale of Downton Abbey? Hey, we’ve all been emotionally attached to a TV drama one way or another. But soon, you can start reeling in the nostalgia; head down to Marina Bay Sands and revisit the multi-award winning period drama at the Downton Abbey: The Exhibition, and delve deeper into the lives of the characters you love.
Immerse yourself in the world of the aristocratic Crawley family, their friends and helpers, as you tour around sets of the fictional Yorkshire country estate. Soak up its Edwardian interior for a taste of Downton Abbey circa 1920, walk through familiar sets like Mrs. Parmore’s kitchen and the grand dining hall, and feel like a character in scene. The international exhibition allows fans to understand their favourite characters better, as well as giving them a sneak peek into the characters’ wardrobes, along with costumes donned by them in the series. Can you imagine staring at a dress worn by the Dame Maggie Smith?
Fans will also be treated to a display of never-before-seen footages and historical moments, including British culture and fashion from World War I to the roaring 20s, in which the series is set. The highly-anticipated exhibition will kick off in Singapore on 17 June before heading to the US next year, and then to multiple location worldwide.
